It is a great post usmcmp. I kept coming back to it so I could finish reading 60 pages...lol I know I need to lift more, injury excuse, but I liked the last few with using body weight to start and my phys. therapist gave me resistant bands.

Agree, this. You just need to educate yourself on proper diet and nutrition. You still need to fuel your body while you lose weight. don't eat below 1200 cal. edited.... 1500 cal minimum for men.

You are eating more calories than you think. Weighting your food will be more accurate, and you will learn what a correct portion size looks like. Don't eat less than 1200 cal. Those wonderful twins are going to need a strong healthy mother. :)

I was thinking the same thing this morning as I pinched the belly fat on me.. 'Will it ever go away" !!!! My size is comparable to you... 5/4, 50yo, I started at 150 now at 125... I am thinking I need to do more weight lifting, core work, to get rid of it. Looking forward to the answers to this question too.

When you lost the 40 lbs and was "tiny" did you have the pooch? Some of it is hereditary, some age, some how overweight you were (overweight, obese).

Weird lady on that video... wow... So lets sterilize the human race so all the animals/ plants can live. Wouldn't this lead to the extinction of the human race. And only grow food to feed vegans... not to raise animals. Her thinking is messed up... I think her parents should not of bred.

I believe it is ..... if you weight it cook, log it cooked. If you weigh it raw, use the raw in logging.

Just be sure to eat back your exercise calories if you use the mfp way..... maybe not all the calories but at least half. This would probably get you close to the tdee amount you seen. OR, you could change to activity level in mfp, this will give you more calories without having to log exercise. As long as you are losing…

OP, are you weighting/measuring your food? All food... condiments, oils, drinks, etc... all the little things can add up. I would guess you are eating more than you think. Double check your food log. Some items in mfp have the wrong calorie amount. There may be 10 entries for ketchup in there and 2 correct calorie amounts.…

Feel free all to add me, 50 f,m, menopause and no thyroid. I lost 25 lbs. doing mfp logging food, and walking 3-5times a week. Trying now to start weights. Thinking resistant bands, or body weight. It is true..... Eat less Move more.

I had overactive, and lost a lot of weight..... and slept all the time. you must mean underactive. Get your meds right in any case. :) Then you CAN lose weight.

op, maybe read some of the help tips in the general weight loss posting, and the food/fitness postings. Usually noted as announcement. You just need to learn a little more about diet/exercise for weight loss. Fill your plate 1/2 with veggies, 1/3 with meat, 1/3 with fruit, starch. Be honest. Portion control is important.…

I completely agree. When I asked - what do I count to lose weight, fat, calories, carbs, sugar? Always the answer was Calories. The rest are nutrients. Calories are a unit of measure.

When using mfp, yes you eat those calories back. Be careful of the assumed calorie burn on exercise. Many overestimate your burn. It is usually recommended here to eat back 50%-75% of those calories. the 1200 is with the deficit to lose weight... exercise is extra. Example 1200 + 300 (exercise) =1500 cal to eat. Some don't…

Well, they both can be off some. Nothing is completely accurate. Many people only eat back half the calories given to them for this reason.

Give it a day or so to get your average. But it should just show your extra calories earned(from fitbit) in the food diary. Also there is a "group" for fitbit users here. Very helpful. Good Luck :)

mfp doesn't show the step count. It does show the extra calories earned from fitbit in your food diary when you log food... (bottom) Have you turned on the negative calories adjustment?

average hr 130 time 70 min. cal burn 340. Fitbit. This is walking/jogging outside going up and down with my h.r. I am 50yr, female. This may give you something to compare to. I think it said average calorie burn per minute was 5 calories.
