It's different for everyone. It's the last place I put it on and the first one to go for me.

Do you actually KNOW your stomach is growing? I know that when I was at my peak weight I had excess belly fat, it's usually the last thing I put on. When I started loosing weight, my waist was actually shrinking even though my stomach felt flabbier, which at first glance could look like it was more stomach fat, when in…

I bought this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000V63NQQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I haven't actually used it much because 1) i couldn't fit all my junk into it when I bought it a year ago and 2) it seemed impractical, since I just walk around in my regular work out pants until I have time to actually…

I can gain 10 pounds in a week. Maybe less. Go to Costco or something and get cookies, icecream (the biggest tub they sell), lots of bacon, throw in some butter. You don't seem too concerned with gaining muscle vs fat, so just focus on high calorie / high fat foods. Enjoy!

Female / 27/ low carb - mod exercise too!!! Add me!

I doubt it aids weight loss, it's basically liquid sugar.

@jbach2 [*] Cardio is for cardiovascular fitness, and a fat-burner after 30-40 minutes. Try out HIIT, it's supposed to increase your "burn" throughout the day. [*] Not losing weight = eating too much (lower calories). Or you may be gaining muscle, which would result in measuring less, so also measure. [*] Weigh myself once…

This happens? Is this a real thing? I've lost 33 lbs and it's never suggested anything. Is it because I'm always tweaking it?

I find it's more filling to eat two eggs with two slices of bacon and a pat of butter. Than it is eating, 1/2 cup of fiber cereal, 1 cup of skim milk, 2 sticks of celery, 1/2 an apple, 1/2 cantaloupe. Even though, it's lower in calories, I'll be hungry 30 mins later and EAT AGAIN. Whereas, the eggs and bacon may be A LOT…

@helenanj I'm not gonna bother reading all the other posts, i'm sure it's full of "facts" regarding added sugar vs. natural sugars. But, if you want to eat less sugar in general (whatever type it may be as it's all processed as glucose when it enters your body), try eating fruits and veggies that are lower in sugars.…

I kind of fell into IF like you did, because I just skipped meals and ate when I was hungry. I realized I was eating maybe 1-2 meals a day at most. And, the later I started eating, the less hungry I got, and was liking this schedule because it made it easier to eat less calories. So then, I did the research, got on a…

I think a calculator will be your best bet: http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/

--- Sidebar --- @gamesandgains If OP is losing fat and gaining muscle the scale may not reflect it. Your weight is still the same, because 1 pound = 1 pound, but you may be MEASURING less. Which she already clarified she isn't. But this is just to clarify for you, because you seemed confused. 1 cup of fat weighs less than…

If you've already gone the gluten free route and it worked out for you, maybe you're craving sugar because your glucose is still too high from too much protein/carbs. Maybe you should research Keto. It's not for everyone, but it's cut back by 95% my sugar and carb cravings, which would trigger more unhealthy choices FOR…

@Chad1117 Congrats on taking your first step! On April 2013 I hit my max weight of 215lbs. I said, enough is enough! With tiny baby steps and no big sacrifices I've lost 33lbs so far (with a six month hiatus when I went through a very complicated pregnany). But, overall consider my lifestyle a MUCH healthier one. I started…

Lol. Yes, it's a real pain in the behind for a person who hates swallowing pills (ME!). But, the nutritionist that turned me onto keto gave me these pills, and after all my research I've learned that they're actually really important. I'm even thinking of adding an extra magnesium pill at night, because I think I'm STILL…

Thanks, but if you'd read through it all, all this has been addressed. Thanks though!

Yeah, me too. I track weight and measurements. BF% I'm still iffy on... haven't found a reliable method yet to measure it. When my caliper arrives I'll try that, see if it makes any sense.
-
Actually a lot of people do need them, and I lost the first ten pounds/ got into keto with her. But, thanks for that... -.-

Chug water and go to sleep.

It's not a grocery list. It's an example. For the price of 1 large pizza, I can make a couple of healthy meals if I go to the supermarket and make sensible choices. For example, buying the whole chicken, bone-in... will probably be a lot cheaper than buying the boneless chicken breasts. Lighten up people.

You haven't exactly plateaued you just stopped exercising. And if you lost 50 pounds it's time to re-evaluate your caloric needs (if you're still using the same range as when you started).
-
It's a staple in Keto. But, you could always just eat less of it if it doesn't fit your current macros.

I like the Slim Fast High Protein (it's low carb, opposed to the regular one which has almost 30g of carbs per serving). But, I try to only use it when I'm in a pinch. I think you might be hungry on a liquid diet, that'll probably be low fat. But, to each their own. When I was depressed I didn't want to bother with feeding…

+1 I weigh myself every day it's just habit, but I don't freak out if it fluctuates 1-2 pounds from one day to the next, I only record new lows on MFP, unless I see that it's going up consistently for a few days, then I know I'm gaining.

Wow, it's so great that all these members with only 1-5 posts simultaneously got together to praise the Venus Factor. Talk about serendipity!
