Right now I'm just using vitamins and protein powder (Muscle Pharm). Not really focused on losing at the moment, either; taking a "maintenance and fitness break". I'll go back to losing soon, just not at the moment, as I want to build my strength and endurance. I noticed during my weight loss that I was slipping on my…

I go over mine quite often. Just drink a ton of water to flush it through.

If you are 5'5", 21 years old, and only have 11-12 pounds to lose (already at a healthy weight) then 1200 is almost certainly too low. Have you calculated your BMR? I would suggest not eating under that. Adding a few calories, and some treats, in your daily life will reduce the "need to binge" feeling.

I'd say just measure the milk. I used to use creamers and I carried a measuring spoon, now I use a packet of sweetener in my coffee. If you measure the milk, you should be able to see how many of your calories it uses in a day. Remember, milk has protein, calcium, good stuff in it; if your dash of milk through the day is…

Give it a couple more weeks and see if it slows down, it's probably just a shock to your system that results in water weight lost. That being said, at 5'8" and ~150 pounds, I think you can raise your calories to losing 1 per week instead of 1.5.

There is no way she, at her age, is at 1375 or 1345 or whatever for "maintenance," that will make a flat out loss. Also with as small a goal to lose she should not aim for 2 pounds a week in any way. If she is working out she needs to eat back her calories. I agree with others that your 18 year old needs to come…

I couldn't resist.

It sounds to me like fitness goals would be better for her than weight goals right now--stronger, faster, distance stuff.

More for me  :flowerforyou:

The thing about averages is that you're taking a bunch of women, some are old, some young, some tall, some short, some active, some sedentary; some are pregnant, even; and coming up with an average for them all. If I eat 2000 without exercise (I have been very lazy about both my measurements and my exercise the last 2…

You're a 6'1, 197 lb young dude who only measures by scale, upset because you aren't losing for three WHOLE weeks? You've lost over 80 pounds, congratulations! (No snark that's honestly great) You say you're seeing a therapist for food issues, I suggest you follow your therapist's advice instead of demonizing any edibles…

Look at your weekly total instead of daily for that week or two week period. It helps, especially if the maintenance/refeed day (I deplore the use of "cheat day") was for a holiday or some family celebration. Don't guilt yourself out of life.

Could we get your stats? Age, height, current weight? How long have you plateaued, what is your current calorie goal per day?

Planks with my 2 year old on my back absolutely KILL the abs. I also do squats with him on my shoulders sometimes. He has 2 pound weights and we "work out" together when I'm doing lifting with the husband, he's "lifting" off to one side.

Could you open your diary, please?

I've noticed my muscles retain water the day after a good workout/run. I would suggest weighing yourself after a rest day or two, if you only weigh after a hard run that could be screwing up your numbers.

I hope you don't catch anything, I know that something as simple as a cough or just fatigue can really affect a person's race time. I did my first half marathon last month, and it was amazing! Best of luck on yours this Saturday! I am proud to say that I got up this morning and went for a 2 mile run, and 1 mile walk. There…

The reports only update when you update them--they aren't connected to your scale or anything. You can change your weight daily, or once a week, or once a month; so far as MFP is concerned, your weight is the same until you update it.

Walk a mile while you eat your apple. Time and record the walk, and the apple. It'll come close to canceling each other out.

I have a coworker who has a butt and legs I would kill for, but she carries her extra weight in her belly. It's just how some people are built. Only way to cut down on body fat, wherever it is located, is a calorie deficit, preferably with some form of exercise, and wait it out.

Not a great week. My husband's depression has been acting up for a month now, it came to a head and I had to practically force him to the doctor's office to get his meds adjusted. He still managed to put up a fuss and make the whole trip difficult, I know it's not on purpose but it's still hard to deal with. When he gets…

I am one inch taller and 9 years older than you. I started at 210 pounds in February and have lost doing 1500, 1600 and now 1700 calories NET per day. I am now about 159 pounds. I eat back most, but not all, exercise calories. Some weeks I save 100 calories a day and have a nice 600 calorie treat on the weekend. If I find…

With your diabetes and thyroid issues, I'd urge you to print off your calorie count/measured meals for a substantial number of days (2-3 weeks?) and ask your doctor for a consultation. He may refer you to a specialist, in fact I'd hope he does, in which case bring even more updated records with you to the specialist. They…

I was quite strict on my calories last summer, and lost a tiny bit but it came back quickly when I had a leg injury and didn't work out. When I cut more calories to compensate for lack of exercise, it affected my milk, and DS started waking up at night for more...which lack of sleep only stressed me out more. He weaned in…

It works for some people. It worked for my sister. It didn't work for me. But everyone is different.

OP...how much lotion do you use in a day?
-
OP there have been a some threads like yours lately, with women laying out plans to lose weight while pregnant and be goal size upon birth. Probably this user jumped on you in an effort to curb the perception that you were going to go the same direction. Personal thoughts? Exercise while pregnant, but eat all the food (I…

There are so many different types of birth control and antidepressants, and they all have different effects on their users. You may want to talk with your doctor or pharmacist about your *specific* pharmaceuticals.
-
You aren't one of those people who follows the WW plan of not counting veggies and fruit, are you? 'Cause that would explain how your count comes out "under 600/day"...not counting it all.

I am glad yesterday was the last day of September because I did not do so well! Today = new month, great start. Hopefully. Lol.
