Hey I'm in austin too! Feel free to add me, would like to have more friends on here from ATX

Yea the oz on the package is weight not liquid ounces. What I do for pasta (also rice and quinoa) is to measure out 4 servings using the dry weight. Then when the food is cooked, I weigh it all together to get the total weight cooked. Then I just divide that amount by 4 ( or how ever many servings you weighed dry) to…

I am the same way with my ferret! If I'm having a bad day, stressed, or sad I just get him up and hold him (for as long as he'll let me haha) and it just seems to go away. Cant stay upset when you are playing with a cute little weasel!

I have a bodybugg for about 7 weeks now. I love it! Have continued to lose weight while using it. Learned a lot about how many calories I burn during certain activities. The only the I do not like about it is that it is not water proof. During the summer we do a lot of swimming at the creeks and lakes around here, so I…

Anything vegan. "The answer is simple: Animals make cholesterol. So anything that was an animal, or came from an animal, has cholesterol in it. Beef, chicken, pork, fish, seafood, dairy, and eggs are full of cholesterol. A vegan diet, which is a diet without animal products, is cholesterol-free. And cutting back on animal…

Yea I have lost about 18 pounds with very little exercise. I do still feel flabby though, so I am now starting to hit the gym. I want to tone up since Im getting close to my "goal weight" (I dont really have one but I guess what would be normal for my size). I think that eating is for sure a big part of weight loss, but…

I have one and I love it! Its so nice to not have to worry about my cals burned being over or underestimated. I know how much I have burned throughout the day, and it tells you if an estimate if you are sedentary the rest of the day. That makes planning out dinner so much easier. I know how much I can eat to stay under my…

Id say its from over estimating calories burned...I know the ones set on MFP are over estimated and using a HRM only works for when you are actually working out. Also, if its not the kind with the chest band it could be off as well. I use a bodybugg and I have been continually losing while using it. And I agree with…

Tonic water has calories, thats what I was trying to think of but didnt know for sure if it was right, just FYI

My favorite is a good vodka (not Taaka, ew), soda water (not the stuff with sugar), and lots of lime!! If you get a good vodka it wont be as harsh. Made one for my little sister who has yet to find a drink she actually liked, and she asked for another! And most vodka is 60-70 cals per drink. Have fun, but be safe!

I just had to reply to this one. I LOVE baked potatoes so much and the only reason that potatoes get a bad rap is because of the bad foods associated with them ( chips, french fries, loaded baked potatoes with cheese bacon and all kinds of crap!). But potatoes are really not bad. They are relatively low calorie and are…

Totally... thats how I feel. I dont know why its hard to understand that MFP already starts you at a deficit. I think if they made it more clear when you are setting up your account it might be easier for people to understand. Like after you fill in your info, it will be a page you read before logging in for the first…

Yea I am about the same, 25 lbs OW and doing 30DS, and my knees have been killing me! Not during the workout but when Im just standing around, straight up. Not taking anything for it though. I did level 1 without shoes but moved to with shoes for level 2 because I was sliding during the plank stuff. But yea, guess I will…

I had to miss my shred workout yesterday, my sister was admitted to the hospital for burns on her arm. she is going to be ok, but I just hope I am able to get back into it. It does not take much for me to get derailed (from a plan/workout/any regimen) and I feel like this could definitely do it. I know she is going to be…

oh man, today may not have been a good day to try level 2. I ended up going out last night and had a few drinks, then stayed up until 4:45 AM talking with a friend, got up at 10:00 a.m. Then took the dogs for a walk. By the time I was ready to do the workout I was exhausted! But I wanted to do it still, but now I feel sick…

amazon on demand has it, you can buy each level separately for $1.99! if you have a streaming device on the tv you can watch it, or just on the computer

Laura4410- THANKS SO MUCH for posting your before and after! I am very close in size to your before pics (a tad bit bigger) and this definitely gives me hope! Good job and way to stick with it! I hope that I get to see some similar results. I really wish I had done before pics so I can see. I guess I could do them now even…

I have it and yea it is a litte negative, but I like to think of it as the best friend who tells you what you need to know! They don't sugar coat anything, they tell you how it is. You can't sit on your *kitten* and eat crap all day and expect to be thin and pretty....so true! And I am vegan so of course I like the recipes…

How much (cups) was a serving?

From corpus, moved to austin june 09. Love it here!

I am mostly worried that the number of calories they estimate that I burn on daily basis is too low. And that I am possibly not eating enough, which would cause a larger deficit than they estimate also. I feel like the bodybugg is the only way to know FOR SURE that I am eating enough to lose and not hurt my body. I know…

Thanks so much for responding! I really appreciate the input. Im glad it worked for you before! Just gotta get back to it right? I am going to buy the version 3 with the display right now. Im so excited! Hope it gets here quick. I plan to keep using the food log here, and just get my total calories burned from BB, then…

Just finished L1D7! I left work early to take the dogs on a walk/jog before I did the shred, we did just over 2.5 miles in just about 40 minutes. Not a fast speed or anything but it was more than a slow walk. After 7 days I feel it is easier, but some stuff is still hard to do nonstop, but I got through the first round of…

Oh yea! kashi is good too! I like the 2 mentioned before as well as the tuscan veggie bake! Soo good! I sort of forgot about those for a while, going to need to pick some up soon!

I was also going to recommend Amy's frozen entrees. If sodium is an issue, many of their meals come in a reduced sodium option as well. I really like these because they do not contain preservatives or additives. I just frozen food, thats it! They are all vegetarian and many vegan as well.

I just have to say the dog in your picture is adorable! I love those feet!

The Bodymedia that costco sales is $209 right now but it doesnt have the display. Right now 24hr fitness is selling the BB and the display discounted. So the 2 come out to $208. Id much rather get it sooner and have the display as well....the sleep option would be nice, but I dont really want to wait anymore.
-
Do you ever have issues with the website or tech support? I have read a few comments about those types of things. The one thing I would like more about the bodymedia is the sleep part. I already know I sleep terribly, part of it is how i have always been and the other part is meds I'm on. but it would be nice to have the…
