If mine looked like that I would wear a bikini to work.

Butternut squash and sweet potato soup. Tasty and low in cals.

This is why I weigh daily. I normally see a new low number for a day before it bounces back up for a few days to a week, then another new low. I know this and am fine with it. Weekly weigh ins wouldn't give me that insight and would drive me crazy.

You are confusing two things. 100 grams of chips will probably have more calories than 100 grams of chicken. But if you were to eat 100 calories of chips it would be the same, in weight loss terms, as eating 100 calories worth of chicken. A ton of bricks weighs the same as a ton of feathers! But there'd be more feathers.

I am unfamiliar with this version - in the UK beans, beans are good for the heart!

I'm not a big fan of "weight loss is not linear". I wholeheartedly agree with the concept but there must be different ways of expressing it.

For me eliminating words like cheat (along with 'bad' food and guilt) with all their negative associations from my weight loss journey has made me more confident in success this time.

I noticed this for the first time the other day, and I'd only been driving. I deleted it.

It took you 104 weeks to put on those 40lbs. You've been trying to lose them for only 5 weeks. Keep going, you're doing well.

I've heard that milk, with its electrolytes, is actually better than water for hydration.

Oh, not on my phone!

Where's that helpful diagram for when this question popped up?

It's back - yay!

Wow I had no idea you could do that, thanks so much. I'll be more careful to log into my home page in future.

I don't think OP is saying hydration is bad, just that it doesn't have to come from water. We actually get a lot of what we need just from our food.

I was always taught to eat everything on my plate as to not do so was considered wasteful. I have now learned that to throw it in my own human dustbin when I no longer want or need it is far worse.
