  • My 1 yr Anniversary is coming up 3/7 - RNY. It's tough at first but it gets easier and easier each month that passes. I've lost approximately 77% of the weight that I had planned on losing which is 100 lbs.
  • True. Both willingly and unwillingly. :) TNP is at work while answering reading & responding to this thread?
  • Please, give it time. Your body will certainly adjust. I started getting up at 4a 3-4 years ago. I've taken breaks in those years though. In the beginning, I was so tired. I did have to accept the fact that I was going to be an "In-bed-by-10" person, with very little exceptions. I can't tell you how long it took for my…
  • The size 4 Artisan Crop Jeans that I just purchased from AE. They didn't have my current size or the next size down, so now I will make it happen because I refuse to let a cute pair of jeans go to waste.
  • Seafood!!! Shrimp, lobster, crab, swordfish, orange roughy, flounder, scallops - I love it all!!!! I love coming up with new ways to prepare each and I love that they're LOADED with protein! Oh, and edamame! Can eat the *kitten* out of some edamame.
  • Sending hugs, prayers and good vibes!
  • Yes, but my dad is an officer so... I try to make sure this doesn't happen too often. It's been over 15 years since I've been pulled over for anything.
  • Coffee has nothing to do with it. If you don't have the Herpes Simplex virus already within you, you've got nothing to worry about.
  • I thought that was quite obvious that it wasn't a scientific study. lol.
  • Lysine - take 2 pills (1000 mg) each day for a couple of days as soon as you feel/notice it and it never surfaces. I learned this when I moved to Ohio 15 years ago and I haven't had a cold sore show up as more than a dot since then. It's a vitamin so it's not like you're putting chemicals in your body. Save the money on…
  • That the right pair of shoes can change EVERYTHING! I'm sure there were other things, but I pinpoint this as the reason for my love of footwear.
  • My kind of challenge!!!! I'm a fairly new runner. I've been running for a couple of years now, though not consistently and strictly on a treadmill. I used to get stress fractures in my feet every time I ran outside so, I just didn't. However, I competed in my first 5K this past Spring and fell in love with outdoor running.…
  • I will ONLY use: Jif peanut butter Heinz ketchup Hellman's mayonaise Nabisco Saltines Bounty papertowels Quilted Northern or Cottonnelle TP Jeep - all the way! Neutrogena Face Wash/Cleansing products Crest toothpaste Lysol bathroom cleaning products 409 all purpose cleaner & granite cleaner Pledge dusting spray Brooks…
  • I REFUSE to buy Charmin! I absolutely HATE it. lol. I will only buy Quilted Northern or Cottonnelle. Kraft ketchup? What even is that? I'm with you on the Jeep thing, but that's about it.... We can be Jeep Friends and drink whiskey. LOL.
  • You look amazing! You also have a very infectious smile - it radiates! Thank you for sharing!
  • I didn't have to start buying new clothes until I hit probably the 30-40 lbs mark. You have to keep in mind WHERE you're losing from. Once I started weight training, that's when I started to see the big difference in my pants due to the muscle toning and fat loss in my waist, hips and thighs. I would start tracking your…
  • I'm grateful for my husband who hates running, but keeps going with me because he knows how happy it makes me. We don't always talk. Sometimes each of us has our headphones in. But he's there and that's awesome.
  • I have a few for during the week when I'm on the go: 1. 1 golden delicious apple, 1-2 light string cheese and about 24 almonds. I call it my Fruity, Nutty, Cheesy Breakfast. It's simple, but it packs some protein and is totally satisfying! 2. Instant Cream of Wheat (or oatmeal), Splenda Brown Sugar (to taste - I use 2…
  • My daughter plays travel softball and I've NEVER taken a victory photo with her (in 6 years), I've always refused and insisted it only be her and my husband. Well, they asked me this past weekend and I was actually not ashamed to have my picture taken.
  • My nephew is 10 and overweight so I can assure you that these parents are doing what they think is best. My sister and BIL do the same thing with "my guy" and it's at the advice and suggestion of their family doctor. Just because she's 11 doesn't mean that it's something that should be ignored. If she feels insecure, there…
  • You can also look into Beachbody On-Demand - WITHOUT SHAKEOLOGY. It's by far the worst tasting protein out there and my best friend sells it. She knows how I feel - it's nasty!
  • I don't WANT to workout at 4a, but I LIKE to. The gym isn't as busy, my energy level is fully recharged and it's an awesome start to my day - gets those endorphins going! It also allows me to get in an extra workout in if I have time in the evening. However if I don't, then I don't feel bad because I checked that box off…

  • I switched back to Fitbit after having been a long-time Polar user. Their chest strap is the best, but their activity trackers are horrible. jmo. I'm actually very interested in the Garmin Vivo - I want something that's waterproof for my next one.
  • If you're wearing a chest strap (or even a wrist hrm) and all of your information (height, weight, age, etc) is up-to-date with Polar, ALWAYS go with your HRM results. The information on a lot of treadmills is junk! Unless you're inputting your age, weight and height (which I've never found a machine where you're inputting…
  • I weigh in whenever I feel like it - sometimes it's daily, sometimes it's weekly, but mostly somewhere in between. It holds me accountable! I know that's not how it works for everyone though. It can be very helpful for some people to weigh every day, it can counterproductive or it can be somewhere in between for others.

  • @whineryjnw always make sure you take care of #1 & if need be, #2 before weighing as well. ;)
  • I personally get the whole space thing, I do. I hate when I'm lifting and there's plenty of room along the mirror wall and someone is standing close enough that I can smell their deodorant. It's a treadmill though. You've got your personal space, it's literally built into the equipment. If someone needs more personal space…
