I've lived a little bit of everywhere. I was born in KS (McPherson) Grew up in NY (Orange County) and FL (Ft. Myers). I have lived in OH (HOF) for the last 14 years. Still looking forward to the day I can return to the South! Need that sunshine and sweet tea!

Female: 5'2" Lowest: 110 (20 y/o), 125 (pre-baby weight at 25 y/o) Highest: 262 (a doctor's appointment earlier this year) Current: 227 (weigh-in this morning) Goal: 125 (and I'd really like my size 7.5-8 feet back) My mini-goals are always to get out of the current 10 lb bracket that I'm in. So my current goal is to get…

I love my Fitbit Aria!

I love sweet potatoes! I bake them, then put them in my food processor with some Splenda Brown Sugar and Isopure Unflavored Protein Powder. So yummy!

Having dealt with anorexia and bulimia myself, fasting after a binge is the worst thing you can do. It can lead to a full on eating disorder.
-
Absolutely! This has absolutely happened to me and it pisses me off! :/

The vegan tastes better than the regular. My opinion - there's no way to make it drinkable! Get a refund! If you're looking for a protein powder, go to GNC as they will give you samples to try.

If you wear a Fitbit, do not log your calories burned from working out manually. You're only doubling the calories burned. That's the beauty of wearing a Fitbit (or something like it) - it does the logging for you. However, if you prefer your feed to show exactly what you were doing to burn those calories, then by all…

I wear mine on my wrist bone, however it tends to slide down to my wrist and twist around, so I don't wear it as loose as they suggest. It still gets the job done.

Walking is still exercising. Walking on your "off days" actually helps with your recovery. So I think when he says every day for the first 30, he's considering days where you're simply walking as exercise.

@jcavanna2 I'm doing pretty much the same thing. Very few people know. Growing up, my stepmother had it done and was "successful". However all I heard growing up from my mother was "I'd be a size 2 if I took the easy way out" and while I know that most of that was just spite because she was married to my dad, it's one of…

On top of taking the MAX amount of biotin, try using Nioxin, Viviscal or Keranique. I have used both Nioxin and Keranique and recommend both. Viviscal is supposed to be really good as well! It probably won't stop it, but it will certainly help tremendously. If you're feeling self-conscious in the meantime, I would…

My surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday, 3/7! I will send you a friend request. One thing that I'm finding is that my regular MFP friends don't seem to be as supportive now that they know that I'm having this surgery. So many people seem to think that it's an "easy" way out when there's really just as much hard work and…

Elyse, I think it's actually pretty common with ANY surgery. I was like that after my c-section, my boss and my sister were like that with their hysterectomies and I have been told by many to expect it myself after I have my RNY surgery next week. Keep in mind that you're body isn't use to what's going on. The lower…

Or... just do what my sister did and hire a housekeeper!

I have a desk job and my husband is a construction worker and we share every last responsibility when it comes to our home, except cooking and laundry. He's a great cook and hates doing laundry so he does most of the cooking and I do most of the laundry (when my stepdaughter allows me to. She REALLY likes doing laundry.)…

He has to make me laugh... He did, so I married him. 13 years later, he's still making me laugh. A sense of humor goes a long way!

Absolutely, use a chest strap HRM! Stanmann571 is absolutely right, while I love my Fitbit, I wish they had a chest strap like Polar does. It's the only way to accurately monitor your strength training/circuit workouts.
-
Both. Be back in a jif... be back in a jiffy... either works.
-
It's JIF.

OMG, my mother may have a long lost twin in your mother. I'm so sorry because I know EXACTLY what you're going through. That's why I don't talk to my mother, she's toxic. Not necessarily recommending you cut her off, but maybe taking a "break" and simply focus on you. If she asks why you're distant, tell her that right…

They just replaced my Charge HR for the second time (both user errors) and the second one was past the year warranty. I didn't have to get curt with them for them to offer up 30% off an upgrade or to have it replaced free of charge. If you actually read through complaints, half of them are issues that could've been…
-
I find it rather ridiculous that anyone would complain about them to the BBB. They've got the best customer service I've ever encountered. They stand by their products 100%.
-
I was originally a Polar user but after getting a Charge HR last year, I absolutely swear by Fitbit. I busted it slinging beers at the Tim McGraw concert during HOF Week and not only did they replace it for free, but when I gave it to my daughter after getting the Charge 2 and it got zapped playing laser tag, they replaced…

I don't think you need me or anyone else to tell you but, that's NOT a friend. That's jealousy!

I used to get this A LOT when I was skinny. I'd be like "um, do you see my JLo *kitten*? Nothing "too skinny" about me!" My question is, why do TOTAL STRANGERS feel like they have any right to comment on your figure?

Be prepared for more doctor's appointments. lol. I had my last appointment and then about a month later got my surgery date, along with 5 more appointments. They're pretty simple though: Exercise Class - Reviewing the importance of exercise post-op, what types to do and when, etc; Pre-Op Teaching Class; Optifast Class;…

Okay, so I'm glad that I asked. The vitamins that I'm looking into are mainly liquid (multi, b12), chewable (calcium citrate) or softgel (biotin, D, E, etc) as recommended. I haven't had my final pre-op with the surgeon, so I can only assume that's when all of this will be addressed. I was just trying to be proactive, but…

That's awesome!!!! Excess weight impacts women the same way. Makes me kind of nervous!
