  • I started the 20th. We can track together
  • I started the 20th. We'll see how it goes. 5 years ago I did the shred after having my 1st son. I did it for 4 months in a row & lost over 30#'s.
  • I've done the 30 day shred many times. this is a lot different! You do it 3-5 times. I couldn't find it anywhere online, so not sure where it came from. there is a 30 day challenge thing I saw it on but someone had put it on pinterest so I thought I'd try it. My whole body is sore after 1 day.
  • Nothing works the same for two people. you need to find what works for your body. Old fashioned eating RIGHT & exercise are the way to do it. You need to eat more than 1200 calories and more frequently to keep your metabolism moving. Try to eat whole grains & a lot of fruits/veggies along with protein. Eat whatever your…
  • You might lose that initially for a few weeks but after a while it'll stop, you'll hit a plateau or start losing less each week. unfortunately it doesn't continue like that for long.
  • Do a big salad w/low fat dressing or a smoothie. My smoothies for about 10 oz. is 1/2 cup low fat vanilla yogurt, 1/2 cup skim milk, 1/3 cup strawberries, 1/3 cup blueberries & 2 tbsp lite cool whip. just over 210 calories. one of the big salads I do is under 300 calories. i do iceburg lettuce, spinich, broccli, cucumber,…
  • Finally? you look like 2 completely different people. Awesome job!
  • 140 would be ideal for me but my long term goal is 145. 7 lbs to go. I guess if I was anywhere inbetween the 140-145 that would be great. Although who knows. at that I still might not be happy with how I actually look to myself so we'll see.
  • If you don't let yourself have days where you eat what you want youll cave more often. I've never deprived myself of anything. 1st time I lost weight or this time. I eventually made my goal & it didn't set me back. Just do better tomorrw.
  • After the initial first few weeks if you can lose it to start it'll taper off. healthy is no more than 2# a week.
  • i've hit this many many times & after about 3 weeks I'm barely inching down. I've done spike days, high protein days etc. I change up my workout every 30 days. Increase intensity. Going to have to try each one for a few days & see what gets you moving on the scale again.
  • I breastfed two babies & it didn't help me lose any weight. I didn't add in any calories. I ate what I would normally.
  • How is it possible to cut sodium if you don't try & eat much of it to begin with. Someone mentioned this and I was thinking, well I don't eat out, we don't eat 'boxed' meals, Yes of course packaged meals like cheese or sometimes an occasional fish stick but pasta, etc comes in a box! We can't make everything from scratch!
  • I dont' eat those things everyday. I've never deprived myself as long as I stay w./in my calories. This is my 3rd time having to lose weight and I always have done the same things. and I'm under for carbs daily since I started protein.
  • I started a higher protein diet since over a week ago & lost 2 lbs right away but again nothing. So that worked initially..
  • since last thurs I've been eating high protein
  • Thanks for the skinny face comment :o) I have 10 to lose. I'd really like to lose 15 more though.
  • I swear my body is screwed up. I haven't lost any inches in weeks. Well I normally just measure waist & hips. I also have done spike days in the past & normally would change up what I ate everyday, never eating the same amount.
  • I eat 5 meals a day, bkst, lunch & dinner with a snack in between each one & sometimes a snack at night. changed my worked out every few weeks-started out doing half an hour, after a month worked up to a full hour.
  • When i started this time I did the shred for 30 days. then for a week I did another interval cardio workout for 25 min & a month ago i did the elliptical for an hour. Now I do the shred & elliptical for 30 min. everyday. Somethin isn't working though cause I haven't lost for 3 wks
  • same measurements.
  • it's not necessarily eating 'crap' just more calories to give an extra boost. As some people said they do cheat days where they don't limit themselves & have whatever they want or some eat extra calories but make healthier choices.
  • I've had 2 kids & this is the third time I've had to lose a few lbs. Before my body would get used to my daily calories day in & day out & it'd hit a plateau & not lose for a couple weeks. When I have a spike day in there it made my body think, well finally, something different! I used to do '150 calorie days' also, where…
  • Good luck! First time I did it it kicked my butt! Don't give up, just think of jillian sreaming at you. She gets real annoying after a while. I lost 34#'s the 1st time I did the shred in 4 months. Did it again & didn't lose as much so I moved on to elliptical agan. Have fun!
  • OOh a really good one is homemade 'icecream sandwiches'. take a graham cracker & i use low fat cool whip, take the graham & break it in half (2 squares) but 2 tbsp of cool whip inbetween & put in the freezer. I make a punch up & put them on a plate & stick them in the freezer to get hard enough to stack & then put them in…

  • imo I'd eat 1300 cal. a day. I did the 30 day shred last year after I had my son & lost 34#;s in 4 months. When I started it this year again it wasn't so much so I had to try something different. You'll always fluxuate here & there but 6# in the first week is A LOT. if you've just started working out after not for a while…
  • just don't eat it. haha. I have a crazy good sense of will power and if I put my mind to it, even if my favorie chocolate is sitting right in front of me, I won't eat it if I say no to myself. Don't think about it. try to just forget that those things are there. but it is good to indulge once in a while within reason.
  • I'm not attacking, but are you suggesting that I have an eating disorder or something or just saying in general? I normally eat 1700 calories when I workout daily & last wed. i stopped doing that & was eating 1450 a day.
