  • Awww massive thanks to Jojo and Erica!  I've found you all on here greatly motivating! I'm very proud of myself for getting through the 30 days (almost...will have done by Saturday!). I'm going to visit my parents saturday or sunday - they had better notice a difference in me! I've taken pics too but am…
  • L3D7 done! Only 3 more shreds!!! I am still doing modified versions of: 2nd set of push up planks in circuit 1. My shoulders just turn to jelly - I think I know the mountain climbers are next up so I'm saving myself for them! Sit ups. The modified ones are easy, the proper ones are impossible! I need something in between!…
  • Some of her DVDs aren't available in the UK yet, or if they are, the DVD format is wrong for my player, but I have just got 6 week 6 pack, Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones to get started with once I finish the shred! I'm thinking of mixing them up a little - I looked into the 30 day slimdown schedule,…
  • So, so true Herby!
  • You look awesome! As many have said, I too had to check it was the same person! Go you!!
  • Oh yeah ruby! Mountain climbers were flying today!! Also found a lot of it much easier today! Glad you're noticing a difference in your clothes- I'm so glad I've done this, got other JM DVDs on order- can't wait!!
  • I'm on L3 now, and I've been shredding 6 days out of 7. I had meant to go straight through, but there was one Saturday I couldn't and then I found I liked the day break! As for loss, I've only lost 2.5lbs but have lost lots of inches- make sure you're measuring!
  • Plant veg that you like, because you will usually end up with a glut! Also, plant that are hard to find/ expensive in shops. You haven't got a lot of space, so consider that when choosing (I would avoid potatoes in smaller spaces!) catch cropping is good, but not suitable for all veg, but salad crops make excellent catch…
  • Oh, and I love all the abs circuits. They're great!
  • I hated the anterior raises and side lunges of L1 and in L2 the V raises and squats. My shoulders just couldn't handle them, so I didn't use weights on those. I love all things plank, even though I find them killer! I'm just impressed that as someone who couldn't put her weight on her hands out flat (ie in push-up or…
  • L3D5 - done! Only 5 more to do...impressed myself on the mountain climbers today! woohoo!
  • Ruby - that's a great loss on the tape measure! I'm on L3D5?? I think! Oh yeah- just worked it out! Did D4 yesterday, a bit half-heartedly, cos it was so hot and I'd done some wii zumba before, I really felt a bit lethargic at the start! Finding the planks difficult, but loving how much easier I find the push ups (still…
  • Did L3D3 yesterday, it was tough, but definitely enjoying it more. Ruby, only use weights you're happy with! I could happily go down to 1kg weights for those V lifts and the military presses and the side lunges in L1, but the other ones, I'm happy with my 2kg ones, I've only used the 3kg ones for a couple of the sets in…
  • Did L3D2, really enjoying this level - it's so much more fun (if that could ever be the right word!). I got my extra 3kg weight and used it / them a couple of times, so that was good. I grazed my elbows on the carpet doing the 1st plank exercise! Have to watch that tomorrow! My knees have been hurting a lot and I think…
  • Growing your own is great. Summer salad veg is fantastic if you only have limited space - perhaps utilising sunny window sills before investing in a greenhouse? (They are expensive unless you are lucky enough to get one 2nd hand). Courgettes are fab, need a big pot once mature (ie about to start growing courgettes). We…
  • Did L3 again today...I like it a lot more than L2 tbh, even though it's still a tough workout. I managed to do a lot more of the normal moves, but slowly, but my thighs burned! I've been using 2kg weights, which on some of the moves in L1 & 2 were too heavy, on L3 I'm not finding heavy enough, so, as I have 1 3kg weight,…
  • It's up to you - when I started the 30DS I felt the same, sitting on the loo was near impossible, but I knew it was 'good' sore rather than bad pain, so I carried on through and by day 5, the soreness had gone. How did you feel when you did your exercising this morning? I think it's right that you do something if you don't…
  • Hiya - sorry to hear you've got a colonoscopy coming up. Yeah the bowel prep stuff is grim - STAY NEAR A LOO!! Seriously! When I had both of mine, I made the downstairs loo a no go area for anyone but me (and believe me, that was a good thing!). It is a lot of water to drink - I can't remember my instructions, but I felt…
  • I just did L3D1! Oh boy! I went to my zumba class first, so was already quite buzzed, but I found it really tough! Cardio ith weights! Aarrgghh! More plank! Aaarrggghhhh! I think I enjoyed it more than L2.....it seemed to go quickly! But I took lots of 5sec breaks n went with Anita quite a lot! Will try and do better…
  • Oh God, I am feeling like that too! I'm measuring so I KNOW I'm getting more toned....but a bit of support from the scales wouldn't hurt now, would it?!
  • @stacy- that feels great with tape measure! I haven't lost weight this week, but lost a cm everywhere! Did L2D10...woohoo! Was really tough cos I did zumba for wii first (why?!!), but managed it altho my muscles were screaming! Watched L3... Oh my dear God! Gonna give it a go after my zumba class tmz...if I can't get thru…
  • Oh dear, that's never helpful.:frown: You say that you've tried talking about it, did this person contribute to the talk or go into their sulk mode? Could their constant criticisms be a 'cry for help' (as some have suggested) and perhaps they are wanting you to invite them to lose weight with you? You say it's someone…
  • Dd L2D9 today. Not sure I'm ready to move on yet, so will do 2moro then watch L3...if I'm not too scared, will give it a go! Kinda enjoying it more now- I know a couple of people don't...hope it comes, exercising sucks when thers no enjoyment! Did ALL the plank twists- well did them 4the full minute! My arms wer shaking n…
  • It's taken me about 36 years and 1 1/2 months! Always enjoyed walking, but never did it for exercise - since January, have really got into aerobic exercise and loving it!
  • That seems sensible if you have a neck injury. I've just done L2D8 - 2more to go and then I see about moving it up a level! I'm going to stick with my 'rest' day tomorrow (only resting from shredding) and watch L3 on Monday after I've done my 10 days. Some people on these forums have said that L3 isn't as much of a step up…
  • Well I got one, and did it with my shred yesterday, it gave me a reading of about 25 more calories burned than how I have been logging it, so it seemed fairly in line (i've been logging it similar to circuit training, I can't really remember!) Lidl were doing offers on running tops / trousers / jackets at reasonable prices…
  • Best of luck with that Ruby! Glad you're finding L2 ok, I'm still finding it a bit of a struggle, but some parts are coming easier - not sure how ready I feel to move on to L3! Impressed you ran afterwards though!
  • I'm on L2 and just done D7. I've never been one for sticking out DVDs etc and was sceptical of the success rate, but having read (and seen) such positive results (and the DVD was only £5!) I gave it a go. Although I'm only 1/2 way through, I'm seeing a huge difference mainly on my measurements - my hips seem to have…
  • Out of interest, why would you steer clear of stair climbers? I've read on here that it's a good way to lose / tighten the butt!
  • L2D7 done! I think TODAY was my best L2 workout so far! I managed to do more consecutive plank moves before resting, although still ended up in a heap at end of the plank twists at the end! Don't think I'll be ready to move on to L3 in 3 days...think I might do a couple more L2 first. Did my measurements and had lost 1cm…
