^^^^^^^ THIS Please everyone eating 1200 calories or below their BMR, please go and do some research about BMR & TDEE / maintenance calories.

Hi all, I'm new to EM2WL, although I have been following the 'Eating at TDEE' and this post for the last month or so. It's only now that I've been able to join in. I did an 'unplanned' reset back in June as I recovered from foot surgery, and started my 10% last week Thursday and am already down 1.8 pounds. I think this…

I want to start CLX again in August - it will be my 3rd attempt. I finshed my 1st round this time last year, had a break and then started again in November, but had to stop because of an inflamed gallbladder. i like to start CLX at the beginning of the week, so will be starting next Monday.

I'm new too.... please add me. I started with a 15% cut this week, as I've been recuperating from foot surgery for the last 8 weeks & didn't restrict my cals during that time. I may have to up my calories as I haven't been wearing my KiFit (UK BodyMedia Fit), so don't know my average TDEE

excellent response....!

Here are mine

Don't feel down... maybe your weight is only higher because you were weighed on a different scale. Did you weigh yourself on that scale previously?
-
This is completely false - on MFP your exercise calories are NOT already included in the equation, which is why it recommended that we eat back our exercise calories

BMI is a flawed measurement tool, because it doesn't take bone density into account... so... don't go solely by BMI, just use it as a guide

I have a KiFit (UK BodyMedia Fit) and it says I burn 1.2-1.3 calories per minute when I sleep, and usually 2 calories or a little bit more when sitting at my desk.

Actually, you're incorrect.... ther afterburn is much longer & higher after weight training than after cardio. I've seen it for myself, I wear a KiFit (UK bodyMedia Fit) and after doing a 40 minute ChaLean Extreme weight lifting session (total burn = 150 - 190), my body will burn 5 calories per minute for the following 3-4…

The subscription is worth the money when you first start using it, because you can then get to see your sleeping habits, how much calories you burn during your normal daily activity, etc. My year's subscription is over in 5 days, and I must admit I haven't used it as much as I used to in the last couple of months... so I'm…
-
Lol....! That reminds me, I think my year's subscription has ended - so need to find out how much an additional year costs.
-
It's the BodyMedia Fit in the UK - same thing, but different name
-
I have one, got it last year and yes..... it was worth the expense. It reinforced for me, a lot of the information that I had read about regarding metabolism For example, * your body has longer & higher (calorie) afterburn after weight or interval training than cardio * with the information provided by the KiFit, I felt…
