Without measuring your food or counting calories, how do you know if you're eating too may or too little calories. My non-traditional advice would be to eat more, as a lot of people tend to reduce their calorie intake when weight loss stalls. But when you're very active, this is actually the last thing you want to do.…

I've had a Flex since January and it kept me obligated to walk more, especially because I didn't want to drop down in the rankings with my friends. It keeps me committed to hitting my target amount of steps each day - so I've now included a 1 mile walk to & from work in my daily schedule.

You need to set up an account on Fitbit and then link the apps by going to here - https://www.fitbit.com/user/profile/apps

I think you may get better results if you do interval training on the teadmill for 30-45 minutes. Increase the speed to the fatest you can walk for 15-30 seconds, then slow it back down to 3mph for 2-3 minutes... and keep repeating. As you get fitter, you will able to go faster for longer and reduce the amount of time you…

Cheaper HRMs don't tend to last long...I got one some years ago from Lloyd's Chemist for the same price and it stopped working after a couple of months.

Yes, probably set themselves to lose 2 pounds a week... which a lot of MFP newbies tend to do

I would still count it, because when I wore my BodyMedia Fit and did housework, gardening, etc. I could see I burned more calories than I did in my normal (TDEE) non-exercise day. I don't think you actually need to raise your heart rate to cardio level to lose weight, I just think to be more than you were before to…

I think if you want to make a big thing about it, then feel free too...! I think it would be more worrying, if you thought eating 2 sausage sandwiches on a regular basis was an OK. This will help you think twice about what you're eating and next time you'll decide to eat just one sandwich instead of 2. Or even not to eat…

The OP never said said she wanted to lose, she asked what she needed to do the lose the bit fat on her belly. Lifting heavy isn't about losing weight it's about changing the shape of your body and it works extremely well for those that are close to their goal weight. I have read numerous success stories from women on MFP…

I have a question... So, if you lose weight eating 1200 calories and not eating back exercise calories. How many calories are you going to eat to maintain your weight when you reached your goal?

I found the following info online: ACTIVITY LEVELS Extra light - 1.3 (men & women) Includes daily activities e.g cooking, ironing, driving, standing Light - 1.6 (men) / 1.3 (women) Slightly more active e.g golf, walking 3mph, child care, housework Moderate - 1.7 (men) / 1.6 (women) Cycling, tennis, dancing, skiing, walking…

You should eat for your metabolism, not your muscles.... Calculate your metabolism here - http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ Once you know your TDEE, you will then know how many calories you should eat a

add me... I also started out well in 2011 and lost 50 pounds in 7 months.... but illnesses, injures & LIFE has caused e to put back on 20 of those pounds So, I'm back again with a vengeance.... it would be great to have friends that have been though the same ups & downs..

Follow your Bodybugg because it will be more accurate. What dud you set your targets to? If you set them to very active, then it will recommend that you eat more. If you're not actually burning the amount of calories set, then you need to adjust your goals to the correct settings. Your stomach has gone down a lot, so you…
