Yep happends all the time to me but you need to keep going because it gets easier, after 3 weeks you will feel like your amazing coz you have lost alot of weight already and that you never want to turn back. At the stage you are at its difficult because you have just started! Please keep going you will thank me in 7 weeks…

Someone once said somthing like: 'if you fall of the wagon, run after it and if you cant get back on wait for the next one' I think it means if you go major off track try to exercise or what ever to compensate or if not start again. Make sense?

Wow 25lb is a great loss. I have lost 7lb out of the 16 that im trying to lose at a rate of 1lb a week. The fat feels less dense I guess
-
This is exactly what I am talking about :) the fat does feel loose. Its a mitivating sign if it means the going :) I can wait to meet my hip bones again lol :)
-
Apparently lifting can be good... try to mix it up? I feel your pain...
-
Anyone? Please

I agress that a small amout makes a difference, or at least it should! I have lost 6lb so far, I feel this is mostly Fat because there cant be much water weight in this as it is over 6 weeks.. But cants see a huge difference just that i look less bloated...
-
Agree, but also 1800 might be too high. Try to net 1200 on exercise days and 1500 on the other days
-
Im going to keep going as I am for another two weeks then mix it up a little with exercise, I expect to hit a wall at some point but 6 weeks in I still have alot of energy

NO.... lol joke you can suggest that but im not sure its something I could easily get into my routine.... :)
-
I think I should just carry on as I am and if i dont lose 1lb a week wont worry, I find 1200 feels like a good amount for me... I sometimes strugle to eat this much.
-
I gernally think I eat complex carbs, I eat porridge every morn, snack on fruit and dinner might contain potatoe...
-
I dont think 10lb is nothing but saying that I have so far lost 6lb in 6 weeks and cant see a difference. 10lb is not alot to lose in water weight but it is alot to lose in fat. I could prob lose some weight by cutting the carbs but this lose would prob mostly we water weight and not fat?

Love it :) im drinking water, must be a fiar amount because i need to pee every 10 mins! lol ill carry on with my 1200 cals a day and try and add 1 hour swim in a day (im a strong swimmer so this is a very managable amout even thou sounds alot)
-
Lol, great, im six weeks in and tbh dont see much of a difference and no one has mentioned anything :( fair enough ive only lost 6 lb but i was slim to start with so should I not see a difference? What exercise do you do if you dont go to the gym? My exercise routine at the mo consitis of 20-30 mins walking the dog a day.…

Yep but the OP is probably referring to people who have to much weight, you husband to me does not sound over weight, just that the BMI ratio does not work in his case because he has more muscle/bone than the average person?
-
Yes if it wernt for the fact that they were over weight..... over weight will always mean you are unhealthy
-
Alot of people mention using a tape measure, i tried this last night but find it difficult to measure from same place, ie trying to measure my hips but hips are not just one exact place, could be from widest part or more love handles part if that makes sense...does not feel as acurate and not sure if i would see a…

I have a horse so ride alot meaning i do have muscle in my leg and core muscle. U can shed fat by dieting surely. We dont all need to exercise??? Especially if already doing a bit? The profile pic is me at my lowest, I am 10lb heavier now and have been almost 20lb heavier...
-
You can get muscle from any movement in theory, just propbaly not alot. If you introduce running when you havnt done much before to are going to get stronger leg muscles- fiar enough not alot but i was not talking about alot
-
As mentioned IF muscle gain means some weight gain then maybe it is best to avoid if you rely on scales for motivation, maybe just carry on with eating well, the question was asked wether intoducing 2-3 hours of cadio could creat a small gain of around 1lb a week wich might mean i do not see the 1lb loss a week i am…

I have porridge every day because its easy to buy the sachets and keep them at work and microwave them. Would def recommend eating same thing if its easy, eg i eat soup every day because u can get loads of different types and again...microwave :)
-
Ive not heard of this term before but i can guess what it means, I have muscle because I have a horse and ride a lot so am reasonably toned (hence the muscly legs  ) just that I now want to trim off the fat but am happy with the amount of muscle I have which is why I am asking the question
-
LOL you want me to send unclothed photo's of my self to you? Im sure you didnt mean it in that way (I hope) but sounds a little dodgy hehe!
-
I do not like the thought of gaining because i get easily discoraged meaning if i dont feel like im loosing fat i seem to lose hope.... I dont have a probelm with gaining muscle as such just that im determined to stay on track and so far so good.... Im terrified of falling of the wagon not gaing muscle :)

What sot of measurements should I look to lose? What is realistic? eg should I want to lose one inch a week from my hips/waist? For instance what sort measurement difference would be needed to drop a dress size? (if the measurement was from you hips say) this is new to me so I am interested.
