I'm loving the homemade Rotel mac & cheese and baked beans I made for dinner last night. Going to have a ball eating the leftovers here in awhile.

I'm maintaining during the holidays just like I was maintaining earlier in the year. Neither my eating nor exercise habits have changed. Well, I do have to wear a bit more when running, but that's about it. No need to deprive yourself either, if you want a cookie or two, go ahead, but fit it into your meal plan. There is…

Nothing is worth being obese. But like others have mentioned, it's not entirely accurate to say that there are certain foods which will doom you to obesity. Learn to fit in your favorite desserts, snacks, etc. and you can have them anytime while still losing weight. Deprivation never works in the end.

Even though I haven't been following a weight loss diet for quite awhile, I still have people ask me, whenever they see me eating something "bad" like a bowl of ice cream or a brownie, "I thought you were on a diet?" Hell, one of my cousins asked me that when he came over to my house the day after Thanksgiving and I was…

I weigh both raw, I've never noticed enough of a difference to have a meaningful impact one way or the other.

I picked up a Taylor at Target for like 25$ and it's done its job well in the year I've had it.

Olive oil and canola oil. Not too concerned with the health benefits or lack thereof. I don't use olive oil very often and if I'm making a recipe where I would use canola then I'm not going to be making it for health reasons.

I used to shun butter in favor of margarine because of how unhealthy butter supposedly was. One day I compared the ingredient lists of the two while I was shopping one day and discovered how much of a hodge-podge of various bizarre-sounding additives a tub of margarine was. I started using real, honest to god butter again…

I use my bread machine to knead dough for pizza crust, hamburger buns, cinnamon rolls, etc. Very useful contraption, actually.

As long as you're getting the proper amount of calories and nutrients necessary to achieve your goals, you can eat whatever you want. And really, don't even worry about having a designated cheat day or cheat meal, if you want to eat something fit it in on any day. Not saying this happens to everyone, but it seems like an…

-What's your calories per day? (2500-3000) -Height, weight, age, gender (6'2", 155-160 lbs, 23, male) -How many times do you exercise per week? (5 or 6, depending on how I feel. I almost always run 4 times a week, but sometimes I cut back on lifting if I feel the need.) -How many meals do you have per day? (5 meals and…

This is one of my favorite comfort foods during the colder months. Low carbers and "clean" eaters, look away. Blonde Brownies (Blondies) 1/2 cup butter 2 cups (15 ounces) brown sugar, lightly packed 2 large eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1-2 cups…

I've been maintaining since June by eating a handful of meals with snacks throughout the day and making sure to have about the same number of calories at each meal. I try to eat similar foods routinely, but I do switch it up every so often, making sure to swap foods of equal caloric/nutritional value in and out of my meal…

I've been maintaining since June and plan to continue throughout the holiday season. So far, as of yesterday's weigh-in, I'm holding steady. Unless I have a meltdown of epic proportions, this will be the first year where I haven't gained at least 10-15 lbs during Oct.-Jan. It's all about adhering to good habits while…

This has been an ongoing problem for me. Pretty much every family member outside of the ones that actually live with me and see me on a daily basis has made a wise-*kitten* or accusatory comment at one time or another. I've been told that I need to stop starving myself, been asked if I have an ED, etc. The funny thing is,…

I don't think that's obsessive at all. Part of a successful weight loss plan and also maintaining weight loss is about learning to understand what and how much of something you're going to eat before you eat it. That is a valuable skill to learn.

If you want to eat clean wash everything you want to eat. That way, it'll be clean when it goes into your mouth.

1/2 C AllBran, 1/2 C rolled oats, 1.5 oz. of coconut meat, a medium sized apple and a couple of prunes.

Meat and dairy causes cancer, fruits and veggies are laden with pesticides that are going to kill me 50 years from now, guess I'm going to have to stop eating anything. Heck, there's even pollutants in the air, time to stop breathing.

My all-time favorite foods are homemade Italian dishes such as lasagna, pizza, ravioli, etc. I love the combination of the sauce and melted cheese, so comforting, especially during the colder and drearier months of the year. The good thing is, I fit all of them into my budget, so not much of a poison for me anymore.

Didn't weigh and tbh it's not something that I particularly care about. I ate more than I intended ( OH NOES! NOT ON THANKSGIVING!) and had a good time on Thanksgiving. I noticed when I looked in the mirror this morning that I hadn't gained back the 90 lbs that I've lost, so I must not've eaten all THAT much :)

When I first started dabbling in losing weight (a couple years ago), I would binge eat pretty much every weekend. My brother and I would normally order 3-4 large pizzas with sides occasionally sodas and we'd try our hardest to have them gone by midnight. This was on top of the other crap I ate during the day. I recall…

If you're not going to it eat it, I'll be more than happy to eat it for you!

Yes, I will be keeping an eye on my caloric intake for tomorrow to make sure that I stay within my maintenance calorie window. I had initially planned to more or less blow off the entire day and gorge myself, but in the past couple of weeks I decided to stick with what I've been doing so far while maintaining. Fortunately,…

As someone that has had numerous "cheat days," (which I define as one of those special occasion days like you describe, where I'll eat 1000+ calories over maintenance while at a birthday party or whatever) I've found it easiest to simply get back to business the next day and it hasn't affected my results at all. If you…

Whenever I feel like. In fact, I'm going to be baking a chocolate cake tonight and I plan on having a great big slice, or two. And why not? I exercised today, it easily fits into my caloric budget and by god I WANT it, that's reason enough for me. Like one of the other posters mentioned, there's not a Health-God or other…

Go ahead and eat whatever you want, just fit it into your caloric budget.

I've been told that I look sick and a few family members have made wise-*kitten* remarks about me having an ED, which I don't find particularly funny. They'd throw a damn hissy fat if I said something like "You look like you should have your own gravitational pull," so I don't think it's very respectful or considerate of…

As long as you're hitting your protein and fats and unless you have a medical condition which requires that you closely monitor carb intake, don't worry about it.

Nope, don't plan on losing any weight before the holidays. I do intend to stick to my running and weight lifting. In fact, since I am taking lifting more seriously at the moment, I'll probably give myself a 5-10 lb window to play with. Not saying that I'll use that as an excuse to pig out, but if I'm busting my tail in the…
