I do need to sit down and write out my reasons for quitting and putting them on my sticky notes for encouragement. Yes, the smell is horrible isn't it? Plus, it makes me feel like crap by messing up my sinuses and giving me headaches. Let's keep it going what else is a REALLY NASTY about smoking!

I find that I have too and I try to lower my legs a bit to focus more on my abs...the next time I do the abs session (maybe later tonight) I'll pay attention to my modification...anyone else got any tips on how to modify this exercise so your focus on the abs and not the quads?

Just started my Insanity also. Trying to keep a thread going on here also. Add me if you like I enjoy talking about Insanity and getting some ideas from others who use it. I too do not follow their meal plan, but try and eat healthy and stay accountable by logging on here. :) Enjoy the burn and DIG DEEPER! :laugh:

I too am having a hard time just getting up and getting that workout done in the mornings. I do get up and put my workout clothes on right away, my HRM too and then you know what happens I end up working in my workout clothes all day. LOL So I think I just absolutely have to do it and get into the groove of it.

LMAO... I've had weekends like that. This was not one of them...maybe six beers saturday (maybe, lol) None so far this week and as I'm now saving up money for cruise cash I'm going to really pinch my drinking pennies. :D

Ahhhh my fellow lushes...I'm having a difficult Thursday...it's normally my drink & smoke day but I'm trying to hang on till the weekend at least tomorrow or saturday. LOL Sheesh I feel really "sad" in that pathetic way. :D

Ok so Day 2 Insanity - Cardio Power & Resistance is done and whew! I had to adjust my HRM many times during this workout routine...so make sure you do yours tight if you use a chest strap otherwise you won't get an accurate rate or calorie count. I like this thread...I hate to say but I just haven't wanted to give up my alcohol...although I am for a few weeks because I'm quitting smoking AGAIN! So I have to stay away from the drinks unless I can give up the smokes while drinking... I too notice that i feel better if I don't drink anything...but my video game…

Ok I've re-started this series again. I took the fit test yesterday and my numbers are horrible. Better than when I started working out, but I still can't do a regular push up yet! So anyone out there who feels discouraged DON'T! I'll post my numbers later...anyone who wants to join can at anytime.

Thank you all for your condolences and your kicks in the butt! The cigs are hard, but at least they make me feel like crap so I don't want to smoke them...ugh nasty smelling things make me feel sick to my stomach and gives me bad headaches. Nope I don't share...I'm not sure why...probably cuz peeps want to see pics and I just don't put pics online that much. Also, they want to know where I started and I'm not CRAZY about telling peeps my starting weight...I know I should/am proud of how much I've lost, just don't like sharing how much I started at. I wish that my mom had worked out with me when I was younger... so I think it's a good thing. You aren't forcing her to do it and it's about becoming strong and having endurance to do something she loves; band. I agree don't listen to the ex. :D

Question is Vodka a lower calorie liqour than rum...I don't know why but I don't like Vodka! So is my rum and diet cokes/sprites more sugary cause its made from sugar cane as opposed to potatoes? And I don't like the taste of gin at all or whisky...so should I switch to Vodka?

I agree completely here...when you first start you MAY drop a lot of water weight. But I found that it took roughly three consecutive weeks of working out four/five/six days a week to see an actual drop on the scale...but the best is that I lost five inches on my waist and 2 inches on my hips and 1 inch in my chest. I agree try adding food rich in fiber and lots of iron around your TOM. I find I'm alway craving steak, cheeseburgers and things like that around my TOM because I'm losing iron and as I'm anemic to begin with it's my body's way of saying "HEY UP THERE I NEED SOME IRON!" Give it a shot and I bet you'll notice these cravings…
