I've come to the realization that it was all about my thinking when it came to eating out. I now can choose the healthier options because I tell myself "this is not the last opportunity I'll get to eat out". Once you try the lower calorie options you may be pleasantly surprised. Kepp your chin up, it gets easier.

What did it say your daily carb intake should be?
-
You're right, I did! My first thought was "No way, there's weight loss spam on MFP now?" LOL
-
bwahahaha that was a good one!

I'm interested also, I've been on this plateau for about 5-6 weeks now. Sheesh. I tried uping my cals but that only made me gain. LOL. But I seem to retain water super easy. So that may have been it.
-
I was the same way.....I could go all day without a drink of anything and be just fine. Since I've started the weight loss journey I've been trying to find the right balance of water for me since I seem to retain a ton of it due to my salt addiction :grumble:. I drink about 112 oz (holy cow) now. I keep refilling my water…

I second this one! They are really good!

I read that article as well long before I started MFP a couple months ago! It made a lot of sense to me, I guess I was afraid of getting hungry..........weird! I've never figured out why but it connected. Thanks for reminding me!

I just recently quit smoking and I'm an exercise induced asthmatic, I haven't tried running again since I quit smoking. When I was trying the running thing, I took my inhaler 15 minutes BEFORE I would go running and it helped a lot. I have not developed the skill of breathing through my nose thing either. :)

I'm interested in some recipes if you willing to hand them out.

We did Portabella mushroom caps marinated in Fat Free italian dressing and then grilled them for a little bit and they came out great! love it, Corn on the cobb is always a good choice.
-
Thanks. Sounds great!

If you go to Panda Express you can get a "Panda Bowl" with Steamed veggies and String Bean Chicken. OR I love Samurai Sams and get a Teriyaki bowl, brown rice, white meat for 480 cals (very very very filling, I can never finish the whole bowl). :)
-
Thanks everyone! That makes me feel better. I remember reading that the average weight gain was around 10 lbs. I'm ready to quit! Exercising will be so much easier! I'm pretty excited.
-
bump me in! Thanks for all the amazing recipes. We love trying new stuff!
-
That is very interesting! Thanks for sharing it.
-
Cheese, or a glass of milk.............Avocado is always my favorite!
-
I'm also asthmatic, but it's only exercise induced....(that makes it better  ) so this running thing is more of a challenge.
-
I was thinking of working this into the inbetween days of c25k but don't want to kill myself in the process. Does it wear you out to much to try running? I've never been a runner.........EVER. For some reason I thought I would give it a try. LOL
-
Thanks guys! That makes me feel better! I can totally do this..........I'll keep telling myself that. I'm excited to get'er done and see some major results.

Karen Marie Moning wrote a highlander series and fever series, both were excellent! :blushing:
