I'm a woman and I dropped 30lbs and lost a significant portion of my stomach, two dress sizes, and fat under my chin and had the same experience. No one noticed. I think most people don't think it's polite to mention it honestly.

My reward: A trip to Turks & Caicos!

You are amazing and beautiful! I hope to reach your level of success.

Tall is to women as supermodel is to men. Which of the two is the harder to overcome? Enough said.

Seems like there is a consensus that I need to increase my caloric intake. I am willing to give this a try and continue my workouts (which I  ). *sigh* I don't want to throw in the towel and balloon back up 40 pounds so at this point I am open to anything. Thanks all.

Thanks all for the insight and kind words. It's helpful to know I am "projecting" my junk onto his behaviors and they don't mean I am gross.
-
Thanks all. It helps to know he doesn't necessarily find me disgusting and I'm just reacting out of past hurts.

Gorgeous lady! Congrats!! You're awesome.

Thanks itsscottwilde. As of today I've lost 34. I have a ways to go still but I am finding small techniques to continuously stay motivated. Thanks for the suggestion! I will go look at those videos.

Thanks ladies, glad I could help. :)

I actually believe in this philosophy...however, I have been single for 15 years (basically since I started wanting to date at 14) and now that I face turning 30 next year without ever being asked out it just doesn't fly. I get "friend-zoned" by men pretty voraciously and stay in that zone until the friendship eventually…

In a year I WILL be at my goal weight. I WILL be working out every day and lifting weights. I WILL be enjoying nutritious balanced meals for life. I WILL be changed.

Yes. Yes. and Yes. These are all my revelations too!

#4 and 5 really resonated with me. Thanks for posting.

Wow! You look gorgeous! This gives me so much hope. Thanks for sharing. :]

You sound a lot like me. I am sugar-crazy and I have issues with bingeing as well. For me 1200 was too low and my body would resist dropping weight at that deficit so I increased it to 1400. On good days I never go beyond that and I feel significantly less deprived. Also, I have to echo what others have said about leaving…

I have no idea what the answer is here but I do know that this works for macros. The recommendations made by the AHA and such are usually on a weekly average basis. With calories, the deficit is also calculated on a weekly basis (for example BMR-deficit = 3500 for 1 pound a week) but my body doesn't play well with calorie…

OMG Yes!!!

I think this is really cool. It's such an expression of a mature, holistic approach to change...since weight loss after all is a form of change (for the long run). I think I am going to look up some of these myself. Thanks for sharing!

So fabulous! You're beautiful! Thanks for sharing. :]

Beautiful! This is truly inspiring. As someone who has failed so many times it's nice to be reminded that it *is* possible.

+1 It's disgusting and totally makes me feel uncomfortable. I always wanna be like "Sorry lady no one here wants to see your chocha."

I've found that you have to work with your tendencies and not against them. Change of any kind is far too hard to do them by going against the direction of wind. I am and have always been a morning person but I do suffer from fatigue. On those mornings I would rather stay in bed I discovered a trick to getting me up. Even…
