That's where I'm going! Should have read your post before my previous.

Nope, doesn't really happen round my way.

Kind of makes me wonder why they let their children out to beg anything at all from strangers then. If you think it through to possible outcomes. As I said, I don't really get the Hallowe'en thing, so may not be the most sympathetic.
-
^^ This. sorry folks but the whole thing leaves me concerned. Sense of proportion needed. (Just a Brit who doesn't get the Hallowe'en hype anyway.)

Marmite amd cucumber. Or marmalade. I am so easy to please.

That Birthday cake has to get my vote. Now I NEEEEED cake.

Not silly, it's a good question. I think you may have to make a sensible guess if you don't want to do the measure stuff. Sorry, no help at all.:ohwell:

I never find veg boring. But if you want tasty and straightforward, specially at this time of year, peel and chop as many as you can get hold of ( squash, parsnips, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, sweeetcorn, brusssels sprouts, turnips...) and put them in the oven for about 30/40 mins. Totally delicious. If you…

Good plan.

I just thought it was funny!

Go to chocolate covered katie. Always plenty of options, including breakfast!

Hi, I am vegetarian, have been for 30 years. Don't freak if you see meat on my diary, I sometimes use meat entries if the calories fit what I am eating but can't find anything equivalent in the database. I don't really look at macros, just calories, so an approximation is ok by me! I do eat quite a lot of the same stuff,…

A couple of years ago I built up to almost 7 minutes. Took a few weeks to get there. My !5 year old sports mad son could match me but he can do press ups, which I sure can't For some reason I stopped and haven't done them since. Maybe I need to start over, But not press ups. Never press ups.

:drinker: yup

Seriously yummy.
-
Agreed.

Steamed till just soft, add to leeks and mushrooms, saute till soft then add some cooked quinoa and add seasoning/soy/maggi/whatever you like. Filling and yum.But low cal.

I just wish it was accurate. |anyone seeing my diary would know that most days ARE like today. But I don't achieve the weight they predict. and I've been doing this for 2 years...
-
Make a weetabix cake ( recipe on line) but don't add as much sugar as it says. Each slice can be well under 90 cals that way. And it's good to freeze, keep in a tin. Toasts nicely too.

I haven't quit yet, so must be doing better than I thought...

Ooops, sorry, just read this one. You said it so much better than me. hey ho.

This may be missing everybody else's point entirely, but I thought I'd point out that this is not entirely true. Horses can be overweight, as can rabbits, mice and rats. This is usually due to a lack of exercise, admittedly. But your comment did stand out to me. And I am vegetarian, have been since leaving home at 18 (I'm…

I stick to between 250 and 300 cals. I don't eat lunch though, plenty of cups of tea. Then dinner around 500/600. Leaves some spares for an evening snack with my coffee. But it has to work for you.

The answer I see most often is that it's water weight/fluctuation. Only log at the end of the week and you'll start averaging a pattern. Depending on how much you've got to lose you will see some dramatic stuff at first. But hey, take it and enjoy!! Motivation comes from things like this. And good luck with the next few…

Same time as sticking needles in your eyeballs. I made myself train and run for Race for Life twice, after a relative and a friend died from cancer. Only that made me do it. I hated it, but hated cancer more. Never got back in to it. Given my motivations, hope I never have to either.
-
Of course you do. You just choose to make your own point this way. That's fine, but I am sure you know precisely what the op means.

I do that too! I heat the berries in the microwave and crumble the meringue on top. Makes the best pudding. Oh, and for true decadence add a half pot of sugar free jelly. 5 calories, no fat! And my diet involves checking calories, and keeping sensible limits. But the idea of not avoiding certain foods seems…

Speaking as a Brit here, that seems like a really good idea, although I haven't seen it over here. I wish more restaurants/cafes would show the calorie counts on menus. Yes, quite a few do now, but even more would help. Also I like the idea of taking a tub to save the leftovers. I've not seen that done in England, but…

I hate running. I 'trained' a couple of years ago by running (slowly) regularly till I could do the Race for Life, which I did (slowly). Did that twice. I happily do zumba, Legs, Bums and Tums, Step and stuff like that. (Not easily, but happily) But something about running just doesn't work for me. It's boring, frustrating…
