Quick rant
Sorry to use this as my outlet, but I am going to scream at someone soon.:explode: I am so fed up with keeping below my calories, and carbs for a while now quite successfully, exercising at least the suggested amount, being told at the end of the day that in 5 weeks I could weigh 112lb and then staying at current weight…

Don't you just love it when...
You try something new and it works! On whatever level. This evening I was finishing stuff from the fridge. I had Quark spred on crackerbreads, with a smear of salsa dip on top. And it was yummy! And i didn't know! And each one was about 24 calories, if that. Snack success.

Who/why lock thread?
I was enjoying a thread with my coffee, posted some childhood thoughts successfully, then tried again with another comment and the thread was locked. In the space of 3 mins. Why? How? Did I do something? Please tell me if it was my fault. Sorry if it was. :frown:

Doing this for my own motivation (Pics, hopefully!)
I hope to get some motivation back after a slightly dodgy couple of months. First pic is a while ago now. I lost a couple of stone and have successfully maintained for a couple of years. But the weight has crept back (8lbs) so I am hoping for a good kick in the pants to get back to where I should be. (2nd pic) Feel free to…

So what should I do? Need advice this evening.
Check my diary. I have some calories left. I just finished my huge salad. I don't feel hungry. Should I eat something else to make uo some calories? Or leave well alone in the hope that I can lose some weight. (I am fed up with not losing since Christmas.) What do you people think? Thanks in advance.

Need advice to lose the last few pounds
I have read so many people's advice but never find quite my situation, so I thought I'd throw my problems into the ring and see what all you knowledgeable types come up with. I am a 50 year old mum of 3 with a full time teaching job and a part time bar job. I lost just over 3 stone about 3 years ago and a steady 10lb…

15 days and counting...
So here's the thing, Taking the kids away for a week to somewhere sunny. All inclusive. Totally new experience in every aspect and I want to enjoy it. Promised myself not to count any thing for the week (first time in several years if I achieve it) The deal was to get below a certain weight so that I could do that,…

Feeling shaky
I ate my usual breakfast, a bagel, and have had tea and coffee since. I began to feel a bit shaky around midday so had 2 slices of weightwatchers bread and a banana (more than I usually would bother with at lunchtime). I still feel a bit wobbly, but don't know whether to attribute this to anything in particular. I…

varied nutritional info
I just found 2 entries for raw blackcurrants. They gave different amounts of calories, protein and fibre. How do I judge which one to go with? This happens quite frequently, with all sorts offresh foods. Do I opt for the higher values and play safe? Or lower ones and remember that I'm usually under my calorie value so…

body twister Any one heard of this?
I have a device called a Body Twister. The idea is that you stand on it and twist side to side repeatedly. It came from a boot sale without instructions and I have no idea how many calories I am likely to burn whilst using it. Has anyone got one? Or does anyone know something similar which they could equate it to? It's…

Going to need help with this one.
I have been on MFP for almost 2 years, losing plenty on the way and becoming far more body/ health aware. I have a reasonably active life, with 2 jobs, a family and a dog to keep me on the move. I walk at least 40 mins most days in addition to waitressing in the evening and teaching full time. I seemed to plateau about 3…

question re soda cakes
So, when making these soda cakes, how big is a box of cake mix? I have found so many different size possibilities, surely not all of them require one can of diet soda? I tried a Betty Crocker because it was on offer. Glad I didn't waste full price, as I used barely a third of a can and it was a very runny batter which…

My training partner
Ok, here's the thing. I am a lazy cow. Always have been Well, back in the summer I got a dog, and since then I have discovered that he is the best exercise motivation I could have had. Every day, 2 or 3 times, regardless of the weather, I have to go out for a walk. We may not go fast, but we go. I chase after balls and…

Too much fibre
I recently added a fibre check to my account and seem most days to go over the amount recommended. Anyone out there know what effect this will have on my weight?
-
over the protein amount
If I go over my suggested protein limit what effect will that have on my weight? This happens occasionally after eating yogurt or a bagel, which seem to have more protein than most other things I regularly eat. As a vegetarian I don't find protein easy to get, so should I worry or just keep on with the same? I am trying to…

Vitamuffin
