To all those people who keep asking "What does bump mean?"

Am I the only preson who uses Google?

I am the least Internet savvy person I know, but even I can manage this.

I have a sign at work that I can rudely hold up when someone approaches me with a question.

 I've noticed a lot of people ask questions on here that they could easily find the answer with a quick google search. I use google all the time, the school librarian in my high school would always say "google it" if we asked her a question, so I've been stuck in that mindset since then.
  • That's when you give them a link to let me google that for you.

Google is so intimidating you know so maybe they need help lol

Try doing my tech support job for a day, this question doesn't even compare. I wish it was professional to actually tell some of them that google is their friend, but alas! :p

Yes, how dare you ask us busy people a question!!! Why would you want person-to-person contact and many others' thoughts and opinions when you can just Google it (where ALL the information you receive will be 100% true and trustworthy)?

Stop wasting our time (that we spend reading MFP and writing *****y, pointless posts).

Or try the search option first before posting yet another question that people have already asked over a dozen or more times. I find alot of answers to my questions searching through old threads

You know what I mean. Asking people's personal opinion (the whole point of the forums) versus reading some website as suggested by Google.

The irony here is you're complaining about people asking the same questions over and over again, by posting a topic on the subject, which has been done over and over again!

That's true also but at least, here, you can read other people's personal experience. That's what I like about MFP.

Must be something in the water, a full moon, Saturn in retrograde or some damn thing. Snarky posts filled will snarky replies seem to be the thing today. Poor mods are earning their pay today.

I am not sure where this post says that you cannot ask about personal experiences......

Edited to say: I also enjoy reading other's personal experiences, so we agree about that. However, that is not what the OP and most of the people agreeing with the OP are referring to.
