Wow, JJBerk, you're doing great!

I made some really good egg muffins that might better suit what you're looking for, too: Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a muffin pan with non-stick spray. Mix together these essentials: 7 - 9 eggs or 11 egg whites (if you want to fill the whole nine muffins for the pan and refrigerate or freeze to use later - this…

Although it does have SOME sugar, you can experiment and change up how much you put in to match your diet in this: Maple Chia Seed Pudding 1/4 cup chia seeds (I just buy 'em at Publix) 1 cup reduced-fat or whole milk (I found that skim didn't work as well and it doesn't keep you as full) The recipe calls for 1/4 cup maple…

When I did this before and was successful, I found that I absolutely could not set a goal lower than 1500 calories, because I physically couldn't eat so little. But 1600 - 1700 has been successful for me, and when I was exercising regularly I was probably eating closer to 2000 and losing weight thanks to the calorie burn.…

My serious issue isn't even WHAT I eat, it's mostly how much. And just trying to cut back on portions is so tough! I need to take up some serious cardio but, you know, two kids and a full-time job and this house that needs attention and somehow I am having trouble pulling it all together. We can do this, though! 50 lbs in…

I want to print out this comparison photo and put it on my fridge - this is EXACTLY the range of weight loss I'm looking for. Awesome job!

I made my mile count! Need to up it for next month and BE MORE CAREFUL on what I'm eating. Hardly lost any weight at all Oh well.
-
I'm just shy of losing twenty pounds and I've gone from a solid 18 to a tight 16/18. I think I'm going to have to lose thirty or so before I'm even down a full size! It's crazy, but it has to do with how my body is shaped normally, under all this pudge. Even if I lose my sixty pound goal and get down to 150, I'm still…

LONG walk today = I'm back on track to make my goal (and maybe then some!) Feeling great!
-
Over halfway there! Need to get my mile counts up a little bit if I'm going to make it for the month, though.

One morning I thought something was wrong with my ribcage, and I stared at myself in the mirror for a couple of minutes before I realized the difference was just that my waist had gotten slightly smaller. That made it feel real! And a couple of days ago, I put on a pair of my "super tight when clean, stretch over the…

I'd like to second the person that asked about carb intake, because I have also noticed that I lose more slowly on carb-heavy weeks than I do on weeks where my carb intake is really light.

I'm not on an actual raw diet or anything, I just like the way the bars taste - without added sugars and glazes or ridiculous "yogurt" added in. Most granola/snack bars are way oversweetened, but I like the way the raw bars are sweet without being overpowering. That's kind of what I'm looking for, above all. Ashlee &…

A third of the way there!

Yeah, I'm with you on this. Gettin' real tired of yo ****, male "experts" on women's fitness.

I feel you, honey. My mother posted a Christmas picture of me on Facebook a couple of years ago; of the three of us, Mom and my older sister and I. Someone commented and asked, "OMG! Is Katie pregnant?" I just replied, "Nope, just fat." The person was duly shamed, but damn, what a serious self-esteem blow, right? I'm sorry…

Even though it rained ofr like three days straight, I am still on track to hit my goal!
-
I will try this one!

My favorite "Oh god I'll regret this the next day" food is probably a deliciously cheese-covered enchilada meal from a local Mexican place with a huge glass of horchata on the side. That is what I will eat in Heaven, people. Heaven has horchata. I'll bet money on it. One thing I've only had once, but that I could see as a…

I failed to finish the last mini-challenge I did :( but I am so in for this one!
-
... I'm in. I have no idea how many I'll actually manage, but damn it I will try!

Aaaaaaand accomplished! And yes, it did hurt, haha. My arms are like weak noodles.

Mexican Food: Fat-free yogurt (I prefer Greek) and/or avocado, to replace creamy (avocado) flavors and to add a tang (yogurt). Chicken casseroles: Just use cheese. You can usually use about half of what the recipe calls for and still really enjoy the taste. I usually use about half the cheese called for and if I feel like…

Thanks for posting this success story! I love seeing them! One thing that continually strikes me is how much younger people start to look as that weight falls off their face... you look fantastic!
-
I just started measuring how much cheese I was actually putting on things; usually I need half or even less of what I was sort of mindlessly using before. Cheese isn't bad for you, but all things in moderation, of course. I LOVE using avocado if I'm just not feelin' cheese that day, though. Heart healthy fats! and also…

I have a feeling I'm going to be upping my goal for July's Challenge...
-
Ooooh I think that's gonna hurt Accepted!
-
Mini-challenge accomplished! :)
-
Did some extra walking thanks to dinner knockin' me over my calorie count... added four miles!
-
Well, I've done todays... and added toe touches in-between each set to make it a little bit more of a serious stretch. Maybe I just enjoy yogic vinyasas too much, haha, I like to flooooow. We'll see how tomorrow goes! It felt really nice to jus stand there and stretch for a few minutes!
