Way to go! :)

Tell me about it. A few weeks ago, my uncle was like, "So if you don't drink milk anymore, where do you get your calcium?" I was like, "Almond milk." And he was all skeptical about it. But honestly? One cup of almond milk has 45% of our daily calcium. He also asked where I get my protein, which made me lol. But yeah, I get…

Take a picture of your food and add the hashtag #vegan on instagram. lol.

Eat grains and beans! Lentils and quinoa! You can fill up on those, and make them into different types of meals. You can make homemade vegan alternatives to meatloaf, which is pretty cool: http://www.veganlunchbox.com/loaf_studio.html

You might find people on here telling you, "Stop being a picky eater!" But we picky eaters know it's not that easy, haha. I'd say, find the healthy stuff you DO like, like whole grains and veggies that actually appeal to you, and introduce them into your diet more. I sauté my veggies to add flavor (and it doesn't take very…

Sorry your family's not supportive! Mine isn't much help, but on occasion they try to understand. But I kind of wish my dad would go vegan. His cholesterol has to be through the roof by now and I'm worried about him. (I know I can't change him though).

It really doesn't cost that much to be vegan, especially if you buy in bulk. If you do it wisely, I'm pretty sure it might be cheaper, because you're cutting out buying meat and cheese. That's not to say you wouldn't buy vegan meat and vegan cheese (daiya cheese is awesome), but it's fine (and cheaper) if you don't. It…

Yeah, it could be how it's processed. But SAME. I stopped consuming dairy in November, and then I think in January or so I ate a creamy soup. Baaaaad idea.

Do a stir fry with different vegetables (green ones mostly, but I love carrots and such as well), and toasted sesame oil or safflower oil! So you get veggies in, but you still have the ability to add the amount of oil that you want.

Sent you both requests :)

I sauté them and put soy sauce, garlic powder, and ginger powder. I get bored of boiled and steamed veggies as well.
-
Yup, get tamari instead if you can. (I know that's hard when eating somewhere other than home, but if ever given the option!)

Make sure everything else is in check. Going over because of an apple isn't going to hurt you. I wouldn't overdo it, but MFP definitely sets sugar too low.
-
Like everyone else said, ignore the sugar thing if it's just fruit sugar. If everything else looks okay, then you're probably fine :)

In black tea, I use unsweetened almond milk. But if I need to actually sweeten something, I'm likely to use stevia or agave. (I personally get what you're saying. I've always been okay with Splenda, but hearing more things about it, I've tried to cut it out more. Even though they're in these awesome ice pops that I love…

At the health food store I work at, we juice for customers. Some customers are really big fans of all things green with a little lemon in, like kale, parsley, cucumber, and celery. Some don't want the sugar from apples or whatever. But to be honest, putting in something sweeter, like apples or even beets or carrots, won't…

There are so many foods I never had as a kid that I just assumed I didn't like. My mom hates sweet potatoes so she never made them for me growing up, but once I ate them I absolutely LOVED them. And I never had beets but I love beets.

I honestly don't know. Maybe just... more *stuff* in general. My gf and I are baking for people's gifts this year, and we might actually get each other some other things, but I really do not need more stuff I have no use for, lol. But even then, I'd probably think it's cute.

A separate women's area! Jealous! (And honestly, I think your gym sounds great. Men at the gym can actually be very intimidating. I've had girls and women tell me this. So yeah, that's great.)

Go where you, as an individual, wanna go. No point in snobbery.
-
Dark chocolate for sure! Or apples and peanut butter.

You don't have to eat what he eats. And as long as you're not looking at his food in disdain and commenting on how it'll result in a heart attack, you'll be fine.

Some think that people skeptical of sugar substitutes are paranoid. I don't really, but I do think some to some harm to your insides. The only one that really skeeves me out is aspartame.
-
Yeah, you can overdo protein for sure.

The issues that men face are also a result of the patriarchy. It works against everyone.

Congratulations on not being offended by an offensive joke. The problem is that it reinforces that it's actually okay to treat women this way. Even if YOU wouldn't, others would and that makes those others think it's okay.

"Stop!" by Erasure.

Accurate. The problem is that society plays with everyone's heads. Tells everyone that stereotyping is okay, and that it's not important for us to listen to problems (like the stereotypes in this thread) and listen to *each other*. Society tells men that it's okay to tell women to go make them a sandwich as a "joke." It's…
