I do like me a bean & cheese burrito every once and a while... but then I usually regret it. It's like the taste stays in your mouth for hours afterwards. Why is that?

Roast then blend into homemade hummus.

I've been doing a slow recomp for about 2 years now, slow going. One of my problems is that I'm a vegetarian and I just don't like a lot of protein sources. Right now, I'm set for 90g (I weigh 145) and I rarely come close to hitting that even with powder and bars. Is 1g for 1p really that important for recomp?

I used to live/run in Queens, I would just crank up my headphones so I wouldn't hear the jeers/catcalls/etc... Let it make you stronger! You know you're beautiful :)

I've lost about 50 lbs twice as a SAHM. Find acitivities you like and that you can do with your kids. I've done a lot of running with a double jogger, gyms with childcare, weights and cardio at home, and workouts at playgrounds. You can do it! It took me a long time to lose weight after my second, I understand about no…

I stopped drinking in January and haven't really noticed much change with my weight. I do notice that I feel less dehydrated. I am losing fat and increasing muscle more now than before I was drinking but I can't necessarily attribute that to no alcohol. Too many other variables. I believe they're just calories, fit them in…

I don't do it regularly but occasionaly, I'll do Zumba or Just Dance and I've done Mossa before. For me, it's not my preferred workout but I'm sure you can have success with it. Zumba gets my heart pumping, it's good to supplement other programs.

Some ideas: cold grain salads or whole wheat pasta salads with meat/hard boiled eggs and lots of veggies, sandwiches with whole grain bread and lean meat, hummus with veggies and whole grain pita bread, cottage cheese with fruit, protein bars, hard boiled eggs, jerky...

Definitely don't need a gym! You can run, walk, bike, do body weight exercises at parks or playgrounds and lift weights at home. I'm doing New Rules of Lifting for Women at home with adjustable dumbbells. I do belong to gym but only go to a couple circuit classes a week.

I have the Omron scale and never use it. I don't find it helpful, I know in other ways that I'm losing fat. It is unreliable.

Yes, if it's a spin bike I'd really invest in some cleats. So much more comfortable/stable and I think a better workout. I got mine on Sierra Trading Post for a good price, well worth it!

Last night, I went to Marianne's in Santa Cruz (an icon here) and had cardamom pistachio. It was yummy! Sorry no pic.

Wow, that's quite a dessert spread! Did you eat it all? Last night at McConnell's, salted caramel chip. Amazeballs.

@cortelli, those look amazing! Looks like a great bakery. I worked in a French bakery when I was 16 and I have fond memories, hope the same for your son :)

Some of my favorites.... spanakopita, gnocchi with gorganola sauce, or a lasagna like suggested but with a bechamel sauce and spring veggies.

Sauteed bok choi and radishes from the garden with eggs, edamame and sriacha/mayo/yogurt sauce.

Also kellymom.com is super helpful.

Being a stay at home mom, I've had to learn to deal with it. Protein and fiber fill me up and have a reasonable daily calorie limit and just stay in it ;)

Nice work! You look great! I also have a 2 yo and thought my belly was ruined too. It's getting better and I hope to get it as flat as yours :)
-
@tharin, your meals look so delicious! You eat very similar to me but your meals are prettier :) you're welcome to move in and cook for me ;)

You guys will appreciate this. So the freezer at the little market by our house broke last night and they were giving away all the ice cream! This is what we got, not bad considering they had been giving stuff out for a couple hours already :) I didn't know that Haagen Dazs had peanut butter bars, not bad. Had one for…

Why not? I was overweight when I started running. As long as your doctor says it's fine, go for it. If you enjoy it :)
