  • It makes sense to me! You're right...it's about looking and feeling good, no matter how much yu have to lose or gain! I wouldn't consider myself skinny anymore, especially with a goal of losing 40-45 lbs, but because I'm smaller than my sister, she calls me skinny. I mean it is what it is. Don't let anyone get in the way…
  • I  Zumba! I used to go to gym classes, but I cancelled my membership. I have Zumba for the Wii, which is awesome. I do it twice a week. I also try to attend Zumbathons when I hear about them. I usually code it under aerobics - high impact, but I just bought a HRM and am anxious to know what I'm actually burning.
  • I agree...listen to your body! I burned a little over 900 calories yesterday, but I couldn't bring myself to eat them back because I wasn't hungry. I really paid attention to what I was eating yesterday and made sure I had snacks in between meals. I barely ate my 1200 calories. Any more than what I ate would have been…
  • Only time will tell if you made the right decision. Last year when I first got my gym membership, I joined for the classes. My apartment complex offers a small fitness center but I never cared to go. I went to the gym consistently for the first few months, and then only every so often. When my 1 year commitment was up, I…
  • You look amazing! You're blog is so inspiring! As I read it, I found myself nodding in agreement. I watch my calorie intake, but not so much the type of calories I'm taking in. I need to make a more concious effort to eat healther, and make those calories going in good calories. Thank you so much for sharing your story!
  • This is awesome! Great job!
  • I climb stairs at work sometimes on my breaks. My department is on the 3rd floor, so I jog down to the 1st floor and run up them about 5 times in 10 mins. It's a great little workout. I usually burn quite a bit of calories in a short amount of time.
  • The only thing similar in our stats is the goal weight, but I think women of varying stats can offer you a lot of encouragement and support. At least that's been my experience with the friends I have. I wish you the vbest of luck in your weight loss goals. Feel free to add me if you like
  • I've had a lot of those start-stop moments myself, but I'm determined to see this through to the end this time. I haven't been on MFP long, but I have found some amazing support in the women I've befriended. Feel free to add me.
  • Don't give up! There are people here that want to help. I just sent you an add request.
  • I weigh myself everyday, or almost everday, but that's only because I do the Wii Fit and it weighs me every time I check in. My official weigh in day is on Sundays, the beginning of my workout week. This is the only weight I track in MFP. I notice how the scale goes up and down on a daily basis, but it doesn't affect me.…
  • WOW! That is fantastic! Congrats on all your success!
  • I'm the same way. I finally decided to buy breakfast stuff and leave it at work. I bought a half gallon of milk, a box of cereal, and some instant oatmeal. So every morning when I come to work, I just pull out my bowl, and breakfast, and get my day started. This morning however was a little different. I cut up a grapefruit…
  • I'm 26! I'll send you an add request. The motivation on this site really keeps me going.
  • Now that's a good question! Bedtime is also something I struggle with. I'm lucky if I'm in bed by midnight, but the last few days have been later and later. I know an adequate amount of sleep is important as well, so I'm working on it.
  • This helps quite a bit. I try my best to burn as much as possible.
  • I chose my goal weight based on a weight I used to be. I'm 170, and my goal weight is 130. I was very happy with my body before I started putting on the pounds. Even though I have a goal weight in mind, I focus on how I ultimately want to look because I know in gaining muscle mass, I may not hit that goal weight but still…
  • Are you drinking enough water? I've never been much of a water drinker, but I've been adding Crystal Light and it makes it so much easier. I find that I get full faster. And with snacks in between meals, I hardly ever feel hungry. Yesterday, I had a small salad at lunch, by the time my snack time came around, I still felt…
  • I know 40 lbs is a lot to lose in a short amount of time. I'm not trying to put too much pressure on myself, so it's not like I expect it to be off by the beginning of the summer. The great thing about Texas weather is it's hot for quite a while. But sometime before it gets cold, I would like to wear a bikini. Even if I…
