I make a pretty basic batch of flapjacks that are only 220 cals each. Dont know if thats what you might consider low calorie? 250g basic porridge oats 125g Demerara sugar 100g sultanas 35g(3 Tbs) golden syrup. 125g Stork margarine Mix and bake for 20 mins at 180C Fan Makes 12 about 2 inch square but if you made them…

Well yeah You aren't that far wrong as bread would be 200-220 and in comparison my tortillas i use are about 185 but like I said as well the slightly lower calories the fact you can use half the butter is pretty important also increasing the difference between them.

I have a question if you guys/girls dont mind. As an english person the whole concept of carrying a weapon with me while out on a bike or running seems totally alien but that's irrelevant. From a purely ease of access point of view where would you wear a belt such as the one thats pictured further up the thread? I will…

I confess to having cheated with a shirt that doesnt fit quite yet! I get surprise weigh-ins and measuring as prescribed by the girlfriend. It helps keep me on the diet and not have secret cheat days however I have once or twice tried on a shirt that doesnt quite fit yet as a means of 'measuring' the loss! I'm so ashamed!…

Exactly. How can it be so simple as to buy a 10 dollar/pound digital scale download a free app and not have to spend hundred and hundreds on quick fix solutions!! And yes I picked my battle in this case and will just leave it. Better things to do than try and educate the ignorant

Thats awesome! Thank you. Leaving it be though. No way am I ever going to get him to agree i'm right after all the guy has built his business around the idea that i'm wrong!!

I log them if I know them to have larger calorie contents and i'm getting close to my daily goal. Generally I aim to come in below my daily allowance to allow to measuring errors and milk in coffee so a few extra here and there are not to much of a bother however things like Squash and sweet corn always gets logged

I use either large tortilla wraps which are comparatively lower in calories than a couple of slices of bread and because they are smooth you can use barely 2 or 3 grams of butter instead of 5+. Ive also recently discovered New york Bagel company do a new range of thin precautions ones which are a similar idea to the…

Also just to add if the gym has boxes or small platforms dont be afraid to lift off them till you feel flexible enough to lift off the floor. My trainer has me lifting a bit now as part of my set that I do and I still find myself unable to get down low enough to lift the bar direct off the floor so I use a 3'' platform to…

A ton of rocks or a ton of feathers, what weighs more? :) ;)

Thats similar to my thoughts. When I was a teenager I ate what I was given and if I didn't like it I knew i'd need to get a job and take a trip to the local shops!

Saw that! #wow indeed!!!

No specific info on the FR35 but i'm a Garmin user (FR620, Vivofit and edge 500) as is the girlfriend (FR15) and they are brilliant. Simple to use and track very consistently. https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2016/09/hands-on-garmins-new-forerunner-35-with-optical-hr.html Is worth a read. DCrainmaker is the go to website for…

@DomCraigKing if your struggling to reach your daily calorie target then try including some 'unhealthy' foods. If you eat the foods you miss to try and lose weight then you'll start feeling like the diet it too much to stick with. A little bit of luxury will help you not feeling like youre missing out high tends to lead to…

My belly is decreasing but the 'love handles' always used to be quite wide and pronounced. Over the last week or so I've noticed them start to form a kind ridge through the middle as its gotten smaller. My motivation is to make that ridge deeper and deeper till love handles are no more!!!!

Congrats. I'd be tempted to ditch the second walk/run, eslow down and extend the first 2 miles and just see how far you can go. I'd be surprised if you didnt make it to 3 miles in one go. Then all you need is another 176yards and you've ran 5k continuous.

Does it really matter how many calories you would be able to eat had you not needed to lose weight? I'm not at maintenance yet but my god am I looking forward to the day I can up those calories and feel less restricted and guilty about the odd bad choice!

As others have said why would you carry on eating 'clean' if you dont like it? You dont need it to keep losing weight and a bit of variety in your diet is good surely? I certainly couldnt stick to a way of eating it if involved such a restrictive boring list of foods I was allowed. To me if youre going to do that you may…

Just remember you dont sit on it as such you more perch right on the nose of it. I also tried one on the TT bike and hated it. Just could not get comfortable on it and found myself red raw after 10 miles. Now use a Fizik Arione Tri saddle. Its lovely for 5 hours or so on the extensions.

1 rest day a week and that normally still involves a 5 mile commute each way to work on the bike

800 calories calculated how? You need to get some scales and start weighing food portions out to get real proper `accurate figures for your intake.
-
You can wing it with your food when you have 2K a day to eat but the minute you start being more specific on other totals on top of the basic calorie intake surely a bit better planning would be required?

Your body will use calories to sustain itself. The 1630 is not the number you have to burn extra via exercise to lose weight but the number your body needs to maintain life while at a slight deficit to make it convert fat reserves into the extra energy needed to live. Making an assumption you have asked to 1lb weight loss…

If you have a significant other let them decide your weigh in date. Get them to make it as random and frequent or infrequent as they want and then if you dont know when it it coming you will tend to try extra hard everyday so as to not run the risk of having a bad day on the scales.

Vegan purely to lose weight? Eating vegan is going to be hard enough as it is without the added hassle of having to calorie count. I'm not vegan but my GF is gluten and Dairy intolerant so we do eat a surprising amount of vegan food. Last nights dinner was a 'meat' substitute thing potato and veg all for about the same…

......is the only bit you need to focus on now. If you want to use the treadmill, use it. if the rower takes your fancy do it... etc etc. Just try and thin of it as a starting point. if you jump on the treadmill and manage 5 mins at 5kph then thats your line to work from. next time try 5.30 mins on the treadmill or maybe…
