Good for you :)

Why force? Why not find appropriate therapy suitable to the client?

Very likely to be water weight. Why not just eat food at a deficit? I tend to do the same exercise most the time, makes no difference. Your body doesn't know what you're doing, it just burns the calories off. If you're not losing weight then you're either overestimating your burns, underestimating your intake or a…

Yup. And your point is....? To the OP - listen to those suggesting lifting.

I believe it's a myth that your body "gets used to" or "remembers" exercise routines. Exercise is for your health, a calorie deficit is what's needed for weight loss. Are you eating at a deficit and logging correctly?

I have been told the macros (fat, carbs, protein) are numbers to hit, going over a little is fine. Only calories matter when it comes to weight loss, if you are at a deficit then it won't affect your weight loss.

This a million times over. AA isn't the only option, I had drink problems over a year ago and AA type meetings wouldn't have helped me, nor would I have gone to them but 1-2-1 talking to a professional did. You need to sort all that kind of stuff out and your own internal issues with a professional before you should even…

That's a myth, just look after yourself.

Weigh solids, measure liquids.

Presumably through a doctor and then closely monitored. Horrible potential side effects though and many pile the weight back on after stopping taking it.
-
This. Why do a form of exercise that makes you miserable, that's just silly.
-
You're not losing weight because you're not in a caloric deficit. Create that and you will lose weight. Simple.
-
If you eat a reasonable amount and focus on satiating foods higher in protein etc then there is never any need to be hungry in the first place.
-
Far too low for you. I'm 5'6 226lb and net 1600 and that's the lowest I'll go.

There is one single thing that affects your weight loss and that's calories in/calories out. Create a deficit and you lose weight. Doesn't matter what you eat, how you eat or when you eat in the long run. Of course the aim is often to be healthy as well but there's no "better for weight loss" than a deficit. This is all…

Open your diary? How long have you been eating at 1200?
-
You should eat back some of your exercise calories, most aim for around 50-75%. Should fuel your body for them :)

1st time around I gained a little during pregnancy so that was a kind of f**k it attitude but then gained more as the relationship with the father got abusive, then lost it, gained it back again after my dad passed away, my marriage finally broke down, my son was diagnosed with a life long disability and lots of other…

Please can you link me to these studies. Thanks :)

Lift weights whilst you squat.

Exercise is for health. Calorie deficit is for weight loss. Keep within your calorie allowance and you will not gain weight.

Switched to vaping last november and never looked back after 19 years of smoking, easy peasy. Overeating, no, not as easy for me. Agree with Stef on the physical being easier than the emotional, in my case anyway.
-
You won't gain massive thighs, you cannot build muscle eating at a deficit anyway. :)
-
I went for the 4 in the end, the 7 didn't seem worth it for the extra money.
-
Spices, diet coke, sugar free cordial and water. Every single other thing gets logged.
-

This, they're totally different.

Your weight can fluctuate 5lb or so in a day, it will be water weight.
