  • Yeah I am still retaining water, either from the sodium and the fact since I am lifting and working out, my muscles are still repairing.
  • Well I ask you why you do you want to be thinner? You are lean aren't you? Are you saying that you're stocky or "bulky"? Do you want to be smaller? Without seeing a picture of you, all we can go by your stats. It's your opinion how you see yourself. Other's might not think that.
  • Where the like button! I like my thighs too.

  • bcattoes There is nothing wrong with improving yourself. However, obsessing (going to the extreme) over it could be another issue. With that said, I have to ask...what is it that you are not happy with? You say you are happy that you're fit and happy. Isn't that enough? I'd say embrace your womanly curves and run with it!…
  • I use a protein bar that has chocolate in it to satisfy my craving. I have to supplement since I don't eat red meat or chicken and turkey. I just eat all plant food and fish and seafood.
  • Obviously, you are having some mental issues and body image issues. Work on your self esteem first because obviously you will never be happy with what you have. Sorry to be blunt. I tell you why, losing LBM means your BF % will increase, not only that later on you can lose bone density. That is what we mean by skinny fat,…
  • You are at 24% body fat in which you fall in the range of optimal range for women. You shouldn't lose anymore weight. If you are only focusing on fat loss, building or maintaining muscle should be your goal. Weight loss does not always equal fat loss. What are some of the reasons to be thinner?
  • I agree with the doctor. Cut out foods that causes inflammation in the body. Try paleo bread instead if you got to have bread. It doesn't contain any wheat, soy, dairy or yeast. It's either made with almond flour or coconut flour. Fish, ginger, tumeric, flaxseed are natural inflammatory foods.
  • my macro ratio is 40& carb 30% fat 30% protein calories I eat is 1800 per day as a deficit as my TDEE is 2300 calories to maintain I workout on avg 4-5 days a week with cardio and weights. • Granted I am just starting out and need to lose belly fat too and never had a flat stomach, however, from what I researched, you need to cut out grains and processed starches and dairy from your diet. I am not saying eliminate carbs as a whole, but get it from veggies, fruit and legumes and beans (you can get fiber and…
  • and avocados...my personal trainer told me if you want to lose fat, eat more, but eat the good stuff (real food). Not processed ones. If you exercise, you need to eat more.
  • From what I did notice from the diary, you do include grains and dairy ...I would try to eliminate them for awhile..it could be making you hungrier

  • you need to eat more protein and healthy fats, and less carbs. For carbs get it from veggies, fruit and legumes where it has more fiber, less on refine carbs. I would try to eliminate the grains and dairy for awhile since it causes inflammation and your blood sugar to spike to fast causing insulin to store more fat.…

  • Eat more!!!! Especially protein!!!
  • it doesn't hurt to lift heavy weights to build muscle to burn even more in the long and rev up your metabolism. You will look more toned and have higher bone density.
  • I hear when you are lifting heavy weights, you need to eat more, especially protein.
  • Thanks. I noticed it's worse when I don't seem to drink enough water. I will drink more water.

  • massage will help with delayed onset of muscle soreness because we are able to push and break up the lactic acid build up in the muscles...but you also have to drink a lot of water to flush it out.

  • Shin splints pain is caused by the interosseus border and the muscles involved are the tibialis anterior (where you feel the pain) and tibialis posterior (the muscle that is tensed). Ice the front of your leg and heat the back of it. Massage is necessary. The muscle behind the lateral anterior muscle (tibialis anterior) is…

  • You need to eat more veggies, lean protein and healthy fats such as almonds or avocados. Eat protein with every meal. Stop eating processed foods. That will make your blood sugar go up, therefore your insulin go up. It will always make you crave. If you cut out white refined flour and sugar. You won't crave as much. Yes,…
  • Do more squats, lunges and dead lifts using weights.
  • you are not eating enough protein to build muscle, so up to 30-40% of your daily calories. When you eat carbs, get them from natural sources such as veggies and fruit and legumes. Try to avoid grains and dairy as they can cause mucus build up and inflammation in the body. Use higher weights and high intensity interval…
