yes...grab nuts, avocados, and dried fruit. Check your pantry...are you buying for flavor or for price? It took a couple months, but I started buying smaller volume of better quality food since I am eating better food, I need less of it. But when I cook it .... OH MY! what delicious aromas to whet the appetite. Cheap food…

First ... head to the MISSES section. This is the small to Xlarge sizes made for curves. ... also get rid of your "size" focus. Pick several pants and try them on... You may be surprised how a petite (short) pair of jeans one size up makes your curvy rear look quite nice. Women's sections would be X1 on up. A 1X is similar…

I don't log my pedometer, unless I am using it to track a specific hike. I use mine as a tool/motivator to keep my butt of the couch...so basically it just tracks my lifestyle of the day. A healthy lifestyle is 10,000 steps a day. If I ever make it over that, then I guess I'll log them

I add Arbonne Fibre boost to my morning protein shake. Gives me 12g of soluable fiber per scoop.

I traded in my Java Monster for either Chai Tea (mild boost) or the 5 Hour Energy (bigger boost) and am much happier for it. Tried the 5 Hour driving back from Baltimore because the store did not have any Mean Bean Java Monster. Much better results! I was alert without being jittery, and less trips to the grils room.…

If what you've been doing frustrates you, then a change up may push you over the hurdle. I don't do well with plans that restrict. But have found good results with two cookbooks. The first is More Low-Carb Meals in Minutes (Linda Gassenheimer). And I just bought the Eating for Life cookbook (Bill Phillips) a little over a…

check out the recipes in a cookbook like "Eating for Life" that uses real food you can find on sale, or get coupons for. You can eat the portions as describes but make extra for your husband. Stay away from pre-processed stuff as much as possible. The closer to nature you buy, the less your body will need to be happy.…

try to keep yourself well hydrated. Plenty and well hydrated means the 8-12 cups per day of water on top of any other fluid you drink. Sometimes we loose focus on cool, refreshing plain water. If you exercise everyother day, drink plenty the day before too. Who wants to exercise with H2O sloshing around? Get it into your…

My favorite splurge is to make 4 small but thick burgers, fold a piece of Kraft Deluxe cheese into 4 pieces, a bit of mustard, and serve on pumpernickle cocktail squares used for hor'derves. Serve as a side to a salad made of my fav toppings: lettuce, tomato, chopped onion, guacomole (mix avacado with pico de gallo) ..…

i have a few answers to your question - most hovering around if friends and fam won't support your goal then find new people to dine with ... but that seems a bit rude and we can't just chuck are family to weeds ... ask for only a half (kids/senior/lower carb) portion - i like the look when i get when i ask for a "Low…

you could try adding excerise that includes alot of boxing moves, but if you want to shape your arms, you will need to do some sort of muscle enhancing exercise... if you don't like weights, you can.... push ups - because my wrists don't support my weight, i do them on an 45 degree incline using the arm of my couch - vary…

Hi Jennifer! Some adventures can be tough! It is hard to see your body as part of the greatness of you, when you have spent years thinking of it as a shell existing around the real you. No matter the step in this adventure..whether up or down...is always a step forward. Just remember that each new minute/hour/day is just…

"work out" with your kids if they are supportive... a great 'rainy day' idea ... set up a minature golf course in your home with some plastic cups, small balls, and yard sticks... between the setup, playtime, and clean up time.. you got a hour of low impact activity. Also don't forget to include the time you spend blessing…

hhmm.... if you don't drink a lot then alcohol really isn't the best choice... If you are going participate in Lent - what you choose to give up should be a shock to your routine. From what I read, what Jesus gave up for us was a pretty big shock to His system. I have choosen to give up 'take-out' and prepared breakfast &…
