LMAO too funny about the fudge!

Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet but try prunes. They are very good tasting. Start with 6 and work up from there. You should have a BM by the next day.
-
Me too. Didn't exercise at all. Watch your numbers very closely and you should be fine.
-
Yes, I'm 5'8" and that's a diff of about 15 lbs in my prof pic.
-
I love your story and you have done an amazing job. I agree, that was a pretty mean comment from the nurse but whatever it takes.
-
Don't bring that stuff into the house. It's my first line of defense.

Love this!

I think in order to keep the weight off, permanent changes need to take place. The unhealthy old way of life needs to be replaced which many of the above posters are doing.
-
I keep my calories set at 1300 because I know I will go over every day. That did the trick. My norm is 1500 cals/day. I used to have it set to 1600 which is what my body needs but I went over that every day and started gaining. I have to play games with my head.

Watch "Secret Eaters" out of Britain and it will explain it all. You can watch the episodes on youtube. Someone on MFP mentioned it last month and I have seen all 15 episodes.
-
I like this.

I was told my a weight loss doc not to exercise more now than I intend to the rest of my life. I made it easy on myself and tackled one thing at a time; reducing my intake. I lost weight that way indeed. I will now add exercise.....soon.

Heck yes! The word is your oyster!! :)
-
Your subject line caught my attention. I am at your goal right now. I'm a little taller but I'm 140 exactly. Add me if you want. I can give you some good tips.

I do! I DO! I DO! I LOVE THE WORD COMDIMENT! :)
-
"condiment" is an expression I use for calorically dense foods that should be taken in moderation.
-
Definitely look into isometrics. They will tone you and change the shape of your body very quickly. I started 6 months ago and just do them sporadically and sometimes I look at my legs in the shower and am amazed.
-
Nuts are a "condiment" and should be treated as such. Yes, probably the reason you are stuck. Nuts are dangerous. Cheese is another "condiment."
-
These are all great ideas. Also, my first line of defense is keeping the goodies out of the house. I do indulge in a few items from time to time but it's a whole lot easier when it's not readily available.
-
You look awesome and great job! I like your mindset as well!

I try to keep the crap out of the house. Not saying I'll never eat it again but that's my first line of defense. I also find that the crap is pretty high in calories and brings me to my limit much faster. I burn 1500 calories daily and have my calories set at 1300. I just got into maintenance but it took 6 months to lose…

The best thing to do is say, "No thanks" and leave it at that. Don't say why, don't say, I don't eat this, that or the other thing. They don't need any more of an explanation. Like another person said, drop science on them if you must. Tell them how many calories you burn daily and ice cream takes way too much of a chunk…
-
Hang in there! "Eat the sheets off the bed!" LMAO! Isn't THAT the truth!!
-
The first few times I was on Prednisone, I gained about 15 lbs. Yes, overeating is real. "See food, must eat it." I would say the best thing you can do is keep logging your calories and be very strict with yourself. You need discipline like no one's business right now. It's hard I know but the alternative is massive weight…

Clean your mirror. LOL! You did great and look wonderful! Great job!!!
-
Oh ok, just curious. Always curious about the stories behind tattoos.
-
Great job! Keep going! One question. I'm curious, what does the chin tattoo signify?
-
I'm just over 5'7" and 49 yrs old. I weigh 140 now and feel good at this weight. I agree that 157 was a bit high for this height. 130 may or may not be too low depending on your age.
-
Of course you are losing. Very very noticeable!!! Keep it up!
