Agreed!

Not sure if you covered this yet but are most of your naysayers overweight? When I started cycling I had a handful of naysayers and they were ALL overweight. AND if they are overweight I doubt they are concerned about your health!
-
Now it is!

I agree with you on every point. I live in the U.S. and just returned from a week in Zurich. Cannot even believe how thin everyone is over there. I didn't only visit Zurich, but a few other towns and same thing. There is really no fast food/drive thrus. If you want food, you have to really think about where you want to go,…

5'8" and 145. I'm 51. Age matters too. Younger folks can weigh less and look ok. When I got down to 125 a few years (due to sickness) I looked terrible.
-
I can't stop logging. I have 4 times and gained about 7-8 lbs each time.
-
This is great! Do you have any pictures you care to share yet?
-
I like this.
-
Oh sureeeeee! ;)

Machines are great. I'd kill myself with free weights.

You look great! I see definition starting. Good job! Very motivating.

OMG this is amazing!!!!
-
TOTALLY agree.

Thanks for the replies/ideas!

Yeah there was really no benefit as I figured she would take it the wrong way. Very victimy.
-
Absolutely, probably 20 more lbs.
-
Doesn't anyone clean?
-
Nope, didn't want to take the risk. She's too sensitive and would whine to the world about me. Lost interest.
-
It took me months to determine my TDEE. I logged strictly and weighed myself frequently. I finally came up with around 1650 (in the winter when I'm pretty sedentary) and it was accurate. If I eat too much above that I'll gain.
-
Good job! What type of treatment did your doc prescribe for your COPD?
-
Totally agree. Just updating here since we can now see all of our old threads more easily. This person is actually my step-daughter who made the request so it's dangerous territory. I have not said anything and she has continued to gain. She's probably 25 more lbs.
-
Good for you! I have a friend who also dropped 50 lbs and her BP normalized. Her BP was 140/90 too.
-
Very Good! You may be paying more for the small quantities but you benefit more. I also don't bring junk food into the house. That's my first line of defense.
-
"And, as you and others are pointing out, it seems to have a mind of its own. It responds to sodium, pee, periods, poop, injuries, moods, pain pills, metabolic slowdowns, and even its own inaccuracies." LOL so true!
-
Sounds like the sodium AND most people weigh more after a weekend. I posted on that awhile back and many people responded affirmatively. It can take me until Wednesday to level out. A day after increased sodium for me....2 lbs. I am 5'8" and weigh 140. Don't be discouraged.

You look great! Now this is dedication! Loved this: "One meal of calorie and carb overload won’t make you fat, just like one salad won’t help you get healthy."
-
My first line of defense is not bringing junk food or snacks into the house. I have stopped tracking 3 times and gained 7-8 lbs each time so I will probably track forever. I weigh myself just about every day in order to see and understand fluctuations and am always a 2-3 lbs heavier after the weekend. By Wednesday, it's…
