Had to work at noon so I rode 19 miles on my mountain bike beforehand.

I see you made this post about two weeks ago. How are you doing?

Something else that'll help you to see the error of your eating is a British TV show called "Secret Eaters." You can catch episodes on youtube. I love them.

I'm copying/pasting this from something I responded to an hour ago. Hope it helps. If you can, plan ahead. Plan on 3 fruits and 4 vegetables throughout the day. Then look at protein goals. The breads/grains will fall into place then. Here's my intake: Breakfast: 1.5 cups unsweetened 30 cal almond milk 1 pkg of any brand…

Here's my intake: Breakfast: 1.5 cups unsweetened 30 cal almond milk 1 pkg of any brand healthy oatmeal mixed with 1/3 cup quinoa or 2 hardboiled eggs with mustard. Lunch:…

You accomplished an awful lot in a short period of time. You look awesome. I wouldn't sweat about your abdomen. It'll probably tighten over time.

I'm 5'8" and at goal of 140

HA HA HA, this is the best!!!

PURE AWESOMENESS!!!!!

2 lbs and exactly 7,000 extra cals!

Great birthday present! You look great! Congrats!!

Oh my, now that's a feast! :drinker: I guess "binge" means different things to different people then. I had never struggled with eating until I hit my 40's and it started creeping up. I caught it at about 20 lbs. By this definition I don't binge but I have increased intake on the weekends by about 500 daily. I am seeing we…

No, I guess my real question is when you have a day (usually weekend for me) of overeating a bit, how high do you go?

A few things: Never had a weight problem until my forties, then it started creeping on. Jeans started getting snug. Hard to move around in bed and especially pull up to a sitting position. One day I sat in a wine tasting store and watched women in their 50's walk by and noticed how overweight and out of shape they were. A…

Wow! Just amazing! Love the last pic of you and the kids! ha!

It's more about accepting heavier people. I accept it but I also want them to awaken and understand what carrying extra weight will do to their health. I keep my mouth shut about it though.

Well, the OP wrote this and she's asking what has worked for others. I wrote what has worked for me. Also, the older you get, the more strategies you learn to keep the weight off.... Hi Everyone and Happy New Year! I just joined and desperately want to get on the right track. I have a hefty goal of losing 60 pounds in 6…

Depends upon how many beers you want....or how much milk you drink.

Try to avoid the high cal junk food. The first line of defense is keeping it out of the house. Increase your protein and fiber. This will keep you full longer. Reduce the bready stuff, noodles, cakes, pies, candy, soda. Eat eggs, beans, meat, vegetables, fruits. Make homemade dishes. Make chilli or soups like split pea. If…

I totally agree! I can also attest to all of your findings OP. I could have written that. You are only really burning about 200 less cals that a 20 yr old if you input stats on a typical online calculator. Just log every single bite of food and always round up. I heard that food companies have a 20% leeway in listing…

I loved your story. In addition to losing all that weight, you are a riveting writer as well! Congrats, you look great!
-
Ok I'm in the clear. Oh I so love you!
-
Yes, this one sort of threw me. I am not in poverty but I think I say what's on my mind or maybe I rant. This one needs more clarification.

Exactly. I also enjoyed reading the comments below the article.

I'll probably be the biggest superstar here. I've lost 5 lbs!!!
-
LOL I love your writing style too! You'll get used to it and after awhile will stop noticing them.

Absolutely! I overdid it by 4500 cals last week. Getting back on track today.
