  • I have two gardens. One is large (24' x 12') and the other is smaller (8' x 12'). I plant a lot of tomatoes as I make my own salsa and spaghetti sauce. I plant lots of cucumbers and can pickles. I plant regular carrots and purple carrots. Green beans and purple beans, snap peas, radishes, turnips, onion (red and yellow),…
  • Day 3 - 60 Squats done!
  • I have P90X and I do like it very much...except the PLYO and the YOGA. LOL so I pretty much use it for the strength workouts and use other things (treadmill, kickboxing, biking, etc.... for my cardio). I too have been checking out Insanity, but can't justify paying that much for the set. I got the P90X for dirt cheap and I…
  • yup but my youngest of my 3 is now almost 6 years old. LOL I figured I'm officially done having kids (well I hope) so now is the time to get my body back. :) Good luck to you! :) Fee free to add me. :)
  • I had this problem as a new runner. It eventually went away, but as a new runner I almost always ran on a treadmill until I felt sure I could run a longer distance outside so I've never had the problem with running outside, but I understand it. Dehydration could be key too. Definitely drink up your water. I also cannot eat…
  • It was 20 lbs for me to be able to fit into a size smaller. I think it depends on you height and body structure as well though. :)
  • I was in this same boat, but I usually only drank on the weekends. I would drink too much one night then be hungover the next day and binge eat and couldn't figure out why I couldn't lose weight. I quit buying my bloody mary mix and quit buying wine. Now in the last month I had one night where I drank a few beers, but I…

  • My favorite candy of all time! I can't even buy stupid fruit snacks without eating them. :( About as bad as my pickle addiction. LOL
  • Have you been checked out for auto immune diseases like celiacs? or what about fibromyalgia? MIght be worth looking into. I'm sensitive to gluten so I try to stay away from it. I don't have celiacs though and I do indulge once in a while, but I try to stay away from it. If it is celiacs you could be getting cross…

  • 35 minutes on the treadmill. Done. :) This is a good challenge, but can I count my weight lifting days too? My heart rate does get going when I do it. Especially doing those darn burpees in between sets.
  • I log mine into MFP and it syncs with my Bodymedia Fit. I've always hated logging food, but this makes it sooo much easier.

  • If you have to eat out you have to eat out. Maybe try requesting that things aren't cooked in butter or oil. Completely remove cheese. Maybe ask for a side salad first or a brothy soup to fill you up and then just take the meal to go. :) Just a suggestion.
  • Awesome! keep up the great work! Although my ticker says I've lost 11 lbs it's really 18 overall and I went from a size 13/14 to I can now fit my butt into a 9/10. :) Whoo hoo! Yeah for smaller pants in the summer!
  • Super Awesome!!!
  • I will go anywhere from 1000 - 1500 cal in a day. Some days I'm not very hungry and other days I'm more hungry. As long as I have an 800 - 1000 calorie deficit each day I'm good. If I eat 1500 I may have to work a little longer on the treadmill, but I'm totally ok with that. As a previous poster said once you start eating…
  • Even though I was dead tired last night after working all day then taking all 3 kids to a family carnival I came home and ran on the treadmill for 35 minutes straight. I tried making excuses as to why it was ok if I didn't do it, but then I started telling myself why I should do it...like for eating that bag of cotton…
  • I use the Body by Vi shakes, but only after my strength training workouts (like 2-3 times a week). I don't enjoy drinking my meals. I would prefer to chew my food. My sister lost a ton of weight on Herbalife, but gained it all back as soon as she stopped drinking them. Unless you can continue to drink them for the rest of…
  • I really only listen to music when I run. These have been my favorites lately, but they always change. It's interesting seeing some of the other's choices on here. Will defnitely be adding music to my playlist. 1. Push it (Salt N Pepa) 2. Bad Kids (Lady Gaga) 3. Dance (*kitten*) Remix featuring Nicki Minaj (very obscene…
  • I am 32 and I totally agree with a good sense of humor being a must! Feel free to add me as a friend.
  • 32! yeah for us!
  • Glad this topic came up as my right knee has been bothering me lately after running as well. I've had to cut back my running to just a couple times a week and I really would like to up my running. I think I'll go check out some new shoes.
  • Good for you! This is definitely a success story. I just re-started running a couple months ago after a couple year break and have increased my 5K time by 10 minutes already and I can finally run for the whole time.
  • I'm 5 feet and I'd like to get between 125 and 130. However, I'm not against going down to 115 if possible, but I'd be happy at 125 too. :)
