Might be your shoes. I never had a problem running on a treadmill, but as soon as I ran on the road I would get shin splints. Well I wear different shoes for outside running and treadmill running. I decided to try my treadmill shoes (which are way newer) outside and I had no shin splints. Being dehydrated can also cause…

I set a goal for every 10 lbs lost. My first 10 I got my hair highlighted and cut, My second 10 lbs I have passed but still need to reward myself and I'm actually doing it tonight with a new pair of running shoes. My next goal is to get some new fancy bras (I know TMI). Then the 10 lbs after that will be a new tattoo. :)…

I don't know what group I was in. I was a big art freak (had 3 art classes my senior year). I had yearbook class (we designed the yearbook). I did not participate in any sports unless it was for fun with friends after school. I worked a job though after work from the time I could obtain a workers permit at 15. Was a Honor…

I eat mostly gluten/grain free. Not that I don't indulge from time to time, but when I eat it I usually get bloated and lethargic and just feel awful so I try to stay away from it. I didn't do it to lose weight. I did it for health issues. I also workout a lot and eat lots of veggies, lean meats, healthy fats. I can tell…

I don't intentionally look at others. If they walk by me I will make eye contact and say hello, but I don't purposely look around. However, I only lift weights at home and rarely go to the gym, but when I do I always go on an elliptical or treadmill (they are way nicer than mine at home). The treadmills face windows…

I did this too.

I used to have terrible cravings a few days before my period would start. For some reason now that I went off birth control and really limit my grain/dairy intake I only get cravings once in a while. I really think that hormones in foods you eat can really make things with your body wacky. I know if I eat too many…

When I'm sore from running I will usually do a strength workout the next day or if I really feel like some cardio I'll power walk instead.

I have a gluten sensitivity. I can eat it, but if I overdo it I get really bloated, constipated then diarrhea. Terrible Heartburn if I ever eat Cheese Its. I just really try not to eat things with gluten, but every once in a while something really calls to me and I deal with the after effects.

When I first started running again at the beginning of May I ran a 5K in 44 minutes (I know super slow), but by one month later I had increased my 5K time to 38 minutes. So I shaved 6 minutes off my time. I can now do a 5K in 35 - 36 minutes so I've improved even more sine April. 27 minutes is fast though already so I…

The school I work at has removed all sugary cereals at breakfast. We also don't allow chocolate milk to be served for breakfast, snack or lunch. Veggies served are low sodium. We also have a fruits and veggies program where a couple times a week the classrooms get to try new fruits or veggies for the kids' snack. Some…

Yesterday I did the 75 and then did my strength workout which had another 50 in it. ugh. LOL

Got 80 done today and yes I did them all at once. My legs are sore and it made it hard to do my run, but I did it and am so looking forward to rest day tomorrow.

Awesome Results!!! I have P90X and have done it here and there in the last couple years. I can't do the plyo though as it is really hard on my joints, but the weight lifting rocks! You've just inspired me to try it out again. :) Thanks.

My daily goal is 1500, but I only hit that goal about 1-2 times a week. The rest of the week I hover right around 1200. I am small (5'0) and don't always have a big appetite. For me I'm not focused so much on that number, but paying attention to my body for cues that I'm hungry. Not saying that I don't ever have a day…

Simple small changes... *take the stairs instead of the elevator *park far away from the door in the parking lot to make you walk more *always carry healthy snacks with you so you're not tempted to buy gas station junk or fast food (apple, 1 ounce cashews etc...) *Drink 8 ounces of water right away when you wake up in the…

I got a 4 DVD workout set by Bob Harper. It has Total Trainer Plus, Ultimate Cardio body, Cardio Conditioning and Pure Burn Super Strength. All 4 DVD's have two workouts on them and all of them include strength training although he also incorporates cardio into them. I got it for $12 at Target. I have slowing been buying…

Yeah mine is wireless and hooks up to my phone via Bluetooth. I have no clue how to work the older ones. LOL

running outside is a lot harder. On a treadmill you have a set speeds you kind of know how fast you like to run and can stop and be done whenever you want. Outside I tend to run too fast and wear myself out more because I don't know my pace and when I run now and I try to make certain time. I do enjoy the outside scenery…

Haha! It was a little confusing, but I eventually figured it out. LOL

I did a lot of research before I bought mine and I'm glad I went with the Body Media link. I always have instant access to see how many calories burned, how much moderate and vigorous activity I've done, how many steps I've taken and How much and the quality of sleep I've gotten. I love the sleep monitor (tells me when…
