I was kind of hoping that over Christmas holidays that y'all would slow down a bit. Haha. I know better! I am not doing so well on keeping up on here due to running all over the place for the holidays and then work keeping me busy. I lost one guy due to promotion and now another one quit, so I am down 2 techs right now. So…

@7lenny7 I LOVE that idea. So cool. Maybe when my kids leave the nest or decide to run with me. I can actually retire in 11 years (at 53) but I don't know if financially it will make sense. We will see.

If it is really for WTF, they should just change it to WTF. I think that it would be appropriate. and I like @JessicaMcB 's idea to get rid of like and make it AWESOME!
-
@hanlonsk YES. All this. Muscles I didn't know I had from track workout last Thursday. Did some yoga last night and feel better, but still sore. Yike.
-
@katharmonic Wish you were closer. I need one of these peeps right now. I have one for swimming and she's great, but I would love a running, I need out of my own head person. I haven't been out to run since Track night last Thursday. I am hoping that my hubby is serious about getting the treadmill he has talked about.

^^^ This! And then family/friends (well meaning enough) that when I am sore, they say I am doing too much. Nope, just muscles and tendons getting the work out they need. Hurt is different than sore. And when I am lazy, I hurt. Sore is something I can live with.

So if you don't have a phone and your Garmin watch battery died, does the really hard, hour long group track workout actually happen? I got no stats for you. Just glad I didn't die. Soaking in an Epson salt tub now. Ouch.

@weat0043 whatcha making?
-
Awesome!!! Really well done!

I've been catching up on all the posts and not running. Not because I'm hurt, really, just busy and doing tri training. Yes, I know running is in there, but I haven't run since Saturday's miserable 5k experience. I think stress from my job and impending visits with my mother over Christmas are messing with my mojo. I…

@7lenny7 Great photo. I definitely need to keep that in mind. This weekend was a bad run anyway. Sinus drainage...ewwww.
-
@katharmonic this sounds amazing!!!
-
Yeah, I just saw my race pictures from this last week and this!! All this. I looked gross and miserable.
-
WOW! I got a little teary-eyed with that one. Such a great story.
-
@rolaasad just as everyone before me quoted! This ^^^^. I am a fairly new (again like +20 years) runner too. Only started in July. And just as everyone says, just run. No program (if you don't want) and no limits. Run til you get tired then walk. If you're done, go home. If not, run some more.

I have the Garmin Vivoactive HR. I got it because not only will it track runs, it will do swimming and biking (along with others.) If you are pretty low tech now, I bet the FR35 would be good. I wanted a few more things on mine and like you couldn't justify the 300-500 price tag for most. Someone on here told me about a…

@amymoreorless I was giggling reading this. I am just a couple of hours north of you and we got cold but none of the nonsense that you guys got. It will be fine. It will be 55-60 before Sunday, right? I am supposed to run a mile fun run and then a 5k tomorrow morning and not liking that it will be 30 degrees.
-
I asked for one for Christmas. I am super excited to be able to use it like, you know, the two times a year it colds here. LOL. Great thing is I asked for one of the regular ones and I can use it to told my hair back or a headband too when I am dripping in sweat in the summer.
-
@Azercord I'm sorry to hear that. That is great though that you met your goal and crushed it. I am sure that after this, you will come back and do great things again next year.
-
Awesome!!! This is great! I don't think I have run an hour straight yet! You rock girl.
-
I've been there. Actually a bunch lately. And yes, I have definitely also felt the need to get acquainted with yoga again.
-
@Elise4270 and @amymoreorless I just got an email that tomorrow Dec 6th, Leakycon is releasing more tickets because I guess they are moving to a bigger facility. So tomorrow at 2pm EST, there will be more tickets!!!
-
@_nikkiwolf_ I need to do the same thing with stretching. I have not been doing my PT as much and I would love to get back into Yoga more.
-
I'm what you would call an "adult on-set runner." Haha. I am in a group that I found here on MFP. One that @JessicaMcB wows us on every day!!! She is awesome. It gives me the motivation to keep getting out there. I used to run in the Navy because I had to. This year, I had to go into the hospital for major surgery and was…

I finally got a little (well needed more than a little) time to catch up on the 13 pages of reading. LOL.. @PastorVincent Great times for you and the fam! That is awesome. @NikolaosKey Hips/glutes. I have this issue from standing on the non-broken leg side of my body for almost a year. Anyway, rolling and lots of hip…

So, just saying, my husband had better have taken the dang direct comment (not hint) and got it for me. :-)
-
@amymoreorless come on up and we'll go together. Also #teamhufflepuff
-
Ok. so my super geekness is coming out with this question...I want a 1 day pass to LeakyCon (Harry Potter convention) that will be in Dallas this year.
-
So "adult on-set runner" here. Haha. Triathlon training starts hard core this month. Yike! LOL. Ok, so the plan calls for only about 20 miles for the month. I got in 19 for Nov and that was being hurt. So I am going to say 25 and see what happens. I also need to swim two days a week and bike one day. And I'm adding in…

Me too. This is definitely a "sickness" that some of my friends and co-workers think that I have come down with.
