Thank you ladies for your unbiased support. See - this is the sort of support I need. Not concentrating on the actual plan I'm doing but supporting me in my quest to become friends with food again, so thank-you for starting that ball rolling. I was on orlistat before for a few months - it was disgusting at times but hell…

Hello :) I'm 24 and I'm a teacher. Been teaching for two years now and have got a permanent job in a different area so really want to start becoming a better, healthier person. Have so much to lose it's ridiculous, over 300lbs I had to lose from the start but hey, even the little step I've made just now is helpful. With…

Thanks all to your replies once again - I will be doing a combination of NHS monitored fasting on occasion and maintanance after small chunks, to try and make the process stick this time. Last time I did about 24 weeks of VLCD with no regulation and no re-feed process. Not the best. Glad those of you who have added me have…

Wow, you don't believe me? My total is so rounded because I chose to lose an even 20st, i could lose 22 or 23 and probably still be overweight. I have pictures up. You can check. And my weightloss is accurate, yes.

Thanks folks :D I think the concern I had about waiting til "goal" is that it might actually take months and months... a VLCD for a year?! Doesn't sound like the best thing to do. Dietician and doctor are definite avenues to explore, and medical advice is the best way to go at the moment I think. :)

Thanks for your comments :) I did a lot of research before starting and it was a genuine last resort before surgery for me. I lost weight very fast the first two months and it has slowed down now to a more normal rate. I weighed up the risks and decided that I just couldn't face being the way I was any more. I have a…

Stef - I would have done that originally if I had been able to :) My binge eating was so out of control that removing food from the equation completely helped me :)

The local support group are great, all three of them :) They all cheat... and are in and out of ketosis. Going back on food isn't a big deal for them because they graze on and off. I've stuck rigidly to the plan and have now had no "normal" food since the beginning of June. So they don't get the big deal really. Something…

I FINALLY had people notice this week - lots of people. 133lbs down :) Least it's finally happening!

Lovely genuine smile :D

I've lost more than that now and people haven't noticed yet... I think it's because I was so big when I started :( Fingers crossed it happens soon!
-
Definitely friendly! :)

If I think the person will criticise my start weight or current weight for letting it go so far - forget it!

Thanks for all your lovely wee responses and to those of you who have accepted or added me as a friend :) Things seem a bit better when you're not alone, huh?
-
Thanks everyone for your positivity and support for the bit of weight I've already lost :) Glad to have made some more friends!
-
Hmmm perhaps not the right time to ask this?

The bigger you are, the bigger the fluctuations too... One week I fluctuated 15lbs from one day to the next! :)
