How do you like Stronglifts so far? What week are you on? I am about to literally do my first Workout B tomorrow with my girlfriend. I am following the program from the bar even though I feel like I should skip ahead... Are you doing the prescribed routine 100%?

It's very true as well!
-
I would say 30-45 minutes pretty consistently. Depends on whether I am doing circuits or a 5x5.

I keep getting confronted with the idea of trying Zumba; I may have to at least give it a try. Not something I would do normally since an optimum burn for a given time is the same no matter the activity, and I have my favorites already lol.

If Daniel Craig is like 3-4 levels down in terms of physique then sign me up for that! Totally fine with me.

You should just do static stretching after you work out if you don't have a foam roller. It is perfectly fine as long as you hit all the areas: calves, groin, hams, quads, hip flexors etc. I ALWAYS take 5-10 minutes after to get some stretching in. That includes my dynamic stretching BEFORE my lifting as well.

Good comparisons. Makes my goal seem more realistic.

You guys spent a lot of pages arguing about quality of contraction... OF COURSE that's important! It is part of good form though IMO.

So, I went into Planet FItness today to get a membership as it is the closest gym to me. My girlfriend and I are starting Stronglifts together, and we want a convenient place to go work out other than our apartment gyms. I was just gonna sign up online last night. However, after reading this thread I decided to give it a…

I love me some olives.

I have an eating disorder...I am addicted to eating well.

Make sure to get a good brand too. Store brand usually sucks. Borden is my favorite. DELICIOUS!

Elliptical is lower impact and better for intervals in my opinion. I would go with that any day over a treadmill!
-
I wouldn't go with that one if I were you. Seems like a whole lot of glitz and glamor. I just started downloading NRLFW for my girlfriend; I am trying to convince her she needs to strength train!

I usually have too many calories left at the end of the day and can snack before bed. Some cottage cheese or something. Sometimes, on workout days, I have a huge deficit and net what could be considered dangerously low. :O

I think there are plenty of people who can lose comfortably on 2,000+! I you have a high activity level and are a larger person then I don't see why not. It is all about your personal TDEE.

What's pb2? Is that like a protein supplement?
-
I use them to check my form. I think it is kinda necessary for free weights.
-
Subbed Can more people chime in on this, especially ladies? I am trying to convince my girlfriend she needs to start lifting weights!
-
I love my Chobani. Guilt free snack anytime. My fridge is usually full of them!
-
I got skipped, lame!

LOL @ "additional insight" This is how you last to 6,000+ posts. :) P.S. Kate Upton is super hot. How are we even having a skinny vs. fat thread about this woman? She is much more representative of the "average" female than all of the coked up, twig girls you see on the runway. It is very important to make the distinction…

Decide for you, LIPS! :)

This stuff is delicious. Try it on spaghetti squash!

I am just trying to respond. I didn't say not to try Muscle Milk, just to be wary. I also offered what I take and why. Not helpful?

I think there is an undeniable problem with obesity in this country. I also think it is fair to call it an epidemic, albeit loosely. While not "an infectious disease", obesity is a problem that we are well aware of and continues to spread as the years go on. We need to take control! It isn't BMI, it isn't food…

That is not very accurate considering protein manufacturers have no governing body to answer to. Unless you trust the manufacturer and study the nutrient profile yourself you will never truly know what you are getting. All protein IS NOT created equal.
-
I use OxyElite Protein. After some research, it is easy to discover half the stuff on the market is crap. I haven't looked at Muscle Milk's nutrient profile myself, but I would be wary of anything readily available in a grocery store.

Umm yes this has definitely happened to me! The few times I have saved up a deficit and gorged myself on oily, fatty foods I feel horrible afterwards. Now that I am so in tune with my digestion it is even easier to tell.
