You are doing it wrong, sad to say. Mine has worked perfectly since I got it. Maybe some of the units are messed up? They are rushing them out, for sure.

Anyone complaining about the clasp is experiencing user error of some sort. Don't press it into your wrist. Use your thumb and forefinger to secure it. The thing will never come off unless you want it to. Fitbit has a lot of wonderful documentation on usability of the Flex available online if you take a look. The One is…

I use both a Flex and a Wahoo Blue chest strap HRM when I am working out. The combo is nice because you know pretty much exact calorie burn. I love my Flex and wouldn't trust a wrist worn HRM, but that is just me.

Play with the dominant vs. non-dominant setting. I wear mine on my non-dominant hand (left), but have the setting on dominant. The setting affects the sensitivity of the tracker as does the hand you actually wear it on. Jawbone UP doesn't have this setting which I find interesting.

Wear a chest strap HRM. It will give you the most accurate caloric burn reading.
-
You should do your yoga after your cardio because it is a great stretching and relaxation to finish off.

I have the Fitbit Flex, and I love it. If you have an iPhone or Galaxy device the Bluetooth syncing is amazing. MFP works seamlessly with it as well. If you use both make sure to only track you activity on MFP and let it push to the Fitbit. :)

What does NSV stand for? lol

What were your stats when you decided to start cutting again?

I have a Wahoo Blue HRM with a chest strap, and it is awesome. Knowing your exact calorie burn and having a complete workout history is pretty awesome! I can accurately input EVERYTHING into MFP and Fitbit now. Not to mention the Wahoo app syncs perfectly with Nike+.

If you are strength training and eating the proper amount of fat to help process the protein properly then it is a good thing. I try to get at least a gram of protein per pound of bodyweight a day.

This is a good point as well, but I can't help but think you aren't done being a smoker until you quit inhaling nicotine for pleasure. I even consider someone with patches a smoker who is quitting not some who has already quit. I quit smoking last November cold turkey and it was the greatest feeling ever realizing I…

I love disc golf as well, but I have to respectfully disagree about the sex comment. If you work out while having sex you must be doing it RIGHT. Even though I already posted; I am gonna recommend starting YOGA again. You won't regret it.

The funniest part about this thread is the fact that OP is a troll account.

That sounds like an uninformed person who was taught sexism at an early age and doesn't workout very often. So, don't listen to them... lol. I hate people like that feed these stereotypes. I am struggling to get my gf to see the benefits of strength training right now, and it is crap like this that makes it so hard! Even…

Why don't we try to find something we can all agree on? I assert that a mix of HIIT and steady state cardio will yield the maximum benefit for a cardio regime. What say you?

I couldn't have said it better myself. Without specific diet and exercise info this is the best advice you will get!

Yes! This has definitely happened to me before. This is one of the things that contributed to my yo yo dieting and exercising in the past. You just have to push through that and continue towards your ultimate goal. One of the things that helped me a lot was making a list of objective goals to achieve this summer. When you…

Yes, eating less calories than you burn will be what puts your body into a fat burning state with everything else proper as well. The basic math is 3,500 calories for 1 pound if I remember correctly. This means that if you eat 500 calories less than you burn every day for a week you would potentially lose a pound.

Yoga!!! And hiking as well.

Honestly, I have wondered this too because I don't net quite enough every day either. You have to understand, though, you are underestimating what you are eating while overestimating your burn on a regular basis. Most people do, including me. As long as you are getting the results you want from your calorie intake i.e. fat…

There is nothing good about McDonald's fries. They taste good though lol.. fries are my biggest challenge when eating healthy. Now that I have discovered sweet potato fries though... :)

I just added a few of you guys from page 1. Expect it!

Thanks for that. I was trying to make the point with my later post that it is ultimately what works best for the individual. I like getting my morning started off with a hearty meal within an hour, but that is just me. I am aware that people say it doesn't matter with frequency and timing for meals, but like we are saying…

Yeah... I am bowing out of this one. Maybe you can correct the error in my ways or offer something substantive instead of being a ****.

I read the first 4. I am well aware of the science for the most part. It is pretty inconclusive in a lot of areas, to be fair. I addressed different people in my most recent post. No need to jump down my throat. As for bodybuilding.com, yeah I have been there, but I don't know why you are thinking I have never seen…

No, not at all. I guess I should have made the exercise part the forefront. I can't speak for everyone because I don't know your exercise habits, but I know what works for me. Consequently, it should work for people like me. If you are working out hard 3+ days a week and lead a rather active lifestyle day to day other than…

Good point. You need to pick one. It is really a matter of perspective from there, though. For me, being a chubby little manlet all my life makes me want to burn my last few bf% points off before starting my clean bulk. For other people, stringbeans in particular, they would sooner die than remain skinny, so they bulk…

^^^ Yessir! P.S. If you are hungry that means your body is processing food and your metabolism is working. FEED IT!

I am sorry, but you guys are way off! It is better to have a whole, balanced breakfast in the morning to get your metabolism going throughout the day. The earlier you eat something, the longer you have throughout the day to burn it. If you make breakfast one of your biggest meals (and make it filling and nutritious) you…
