Leaving work without taking one of the chocolates I was eyeing all day

I am female and my TOM is coming but I don't usually gain so much. Maybe and combo of that and water retention from exercising is the culprit? Clearly I should stay away from the scale for awhile. I wonder how long it takes the body to stop retaining water when starting exercise ...
-
Wow, I had no idea sore muscles after a workout was due to water retention! That DOES actually make me feel better! And yes, patience has never been one of my virtues, I think that might be the most important thing I lose from this site haha.

Just keep swimming! If today was truly crappy chances are tomorrow will have to better!
-
Thanks everybody. If the weather stays nice I'll go for a walk tonight and definitely hit the gym tomorrow!
-
Monday I did 7 miles total between the treadmill and an evening walk to enjoy the weather. Yesterday I did 3 miles on the treadmill and 3 different arm/chest machines. Maybe it's because I'm so out of shape it feels like its hitting me hard I don't know haha. My job has some moving/lifting and I was scared I would be…

Welp I did it. My first 4 AM workout lol. It wasn't so bad then but I'm really tired now. Guess I'll sleep well tonight! Looking forward to doing it again tomorrow!
-
Thank you! I feel much better. Its funny because I knew even when I was feeling grumpy that it would only be a temporary thing. I'm generally a happy person which is why its so frustrating when I feel bad for no reason lol.
-
Yep definitely don't think it makes people special or whatever. Just like you said, it will be the best way for it to fit in my schedule.
-
Will definitely do!
-
I let the kids have the last 100 calorie cookie pack that I was saving for after dinner lol.
-
Bodies are truly amazing and so resilient! Congrats on your progress!
-
I will definitely be packing the night before! Not sure if I'll be doing coffee or not as it seems like it doesn't work as well for me if I drink it often. Not sure if that's all in my head or not though!
-
Yeah there's definitely variants. In the past there were a lot of days I was too "mentally exhausted" to exercise after my 8 hour shifts. Excuses of course but still. Now I work 12 hours shifts a lot and I just can't see myself hitting the gym after one. There's something incredibly appealing about having nothing to do…

Always been a night owl. My ideal BEDTIME is 4 AM lol. Boyfriend is an early riser and we recently moved in together. 8:30-ish bedtime is quiet the change but I have to admit it makes the 6 AM alarm a little easier! Just hope it holds up for the 4 AM call!

Going back to my home state for the first time in over a year plus a cruise! Not sure when yet but I need to remind myself I CAN do it! I dropped almost 40 pounds prettily easily in 6 months just moving out of my mom's house, out of state, and getting a full time job! Now I just need to buckle down for the last 30, 6…

Kids are new in my life! My boyfriend's kids are only here every other weekend and it still shocks me that 6:30 is "sleeping in" when they're here haha!

Consistency seems to be the "magic" word. And discipline. Motivation tends to run out fast for me. I'm scared to fail like I have so many times before! Well maybe stall more than fail but it's hard to look at this as a lifelong journey! Or I guess it's easy to look at it as one on a Sunday afternoon but harder at 4 AM…

You're right. I need to change my outlook and self talk!

Watching some show about animated dragons on Netflix and regretting giving my boyfriend's kids my last 100 calorie cookie pack
-
I'm joining a gym tomorrow. I will be having to get up at 4 AM to go. A true test of character for me! Haha
-
That's kind of how I feel too! Wishing my boyfriend and his kids aren't here so I can sulk in peace. The kids asked for my last 100 calorie cookie pack and I gave it to them so I feel like a real martyr haha
-
Haha Joe! I should try that.
-
Haha nice! Quick thinking on your feet!
-
Thanks! To be honest I'm kind of laughing at myself for how stir-crazy I'm feeling. My life is pretty amazing and I know it! I'm fortunate enough to have a job that revolves around helping others. Just one of those days where normal life is SO BORING!

Hi all! I hope this group is still going. It's day 1 for me and its been going well so far. Total body Cardio was no joke but I finished. I feel like I'm getting more than enough food which leads me to a question: I'm in the 1500 - 1700 calorie bracket. My calorie target is 1530. Will I gain weight being on the lower end…

Yeah I agree the name sounds kind of "gimmicky". What caught my eye was the portion control idea of it and a steady workout plan. I think its a good start for people who find the idea of weight loss overwhelming (like me!) even though its theoretically simple (calories in vs. calories out) You're absolutely right, I did…

Thanks synacious! I'm new to the search feature so it's possible I did it wrong or didn't look far enough. Joining now :)

Yeah that would be great. This is my first time doing it. Basically I'm an obese 27-year-old woman (5'2", 169 lbs) who has the motivation to lose weight but not the discipline (so far). I was a healthy weight until after high school so its not a metabolic issue its a laziness+food loving issue. I was able to do a 5 Day…
