I honestly think sometimes the only way to get over this cycle is time. I "started over" again and again and its finally starting to hit me that I don't have to look at it as starting over. Life is a continuum and some days I'm going to do well and some days I'm not. But I'm no longer looking at it as starting over!

Lol only one bite I would have murdered him! :p Today Melinda is mad that the scale is up 3 pounds from yesterday. Um we pigged out on popcorn, pizza, and alcohol! Give the salt time to settle!

I'm SO GLAD I'm not the only one who has flat out cried over being hungry/having a craving. Good grief, dieting + hormones is almost too much for a person to deal with!
-
Thanks! Target did have a nice variety of vintage and that'll probably be what I end up going with. I guess I was hoping to not still hate my body so much as I have lost about 40 pounds in the past year but there's no denying I'm still fat when I'm in a swimsuit! Ah well, while looking better is part of the reason I'm…

I hear ya OP! I enjoy eating out but I don't enjoy the obsessive anxiety that comes with it. Honestly if you can't change the location - I try really hard to go to places that have nutrition info - you might want to eat at home first, then order an appetizer or something and only have a few bites. It sounds miserable and…

Ugh I hope losing the rest of this weight makes me happy in the long term because it sure is a *kitten* in the short term! Went to Target this morning with the express purpose of getting a "motivation" swimsuit. I figured I'd buy one just a little too small - I'm taking a cruise later this year and wanted a visual reminder…

I mean can you blame her? Who doesn't want cake ALL THE TIME? :)
-
So rough, you should obviously dump him ;) Mine also never understands why I want Lean Cuisine over his cooking. "How many calories could this possibly have?" I DON'T KNOW THAT'S THE POINT! Lol
-
Yep its like I'm making all these little changes already in terms of health/weight loss so anytime there's a change in my carefully crafted plan I feel slighted lol. Now that I found the microwave my inner child is happy ... For now! :p

Yeahhhhh I just moved in with my boyfriend and it's ridiculous how angry I get inside when his kids ask for my snacks! They are 2 and 4 years old, I can't say no lol! Talk about a tantrum! I've even started buying more so there's plenty for all of us but it still feels like THEY'RE TAKING MY STUFF! And then 2 minutes later…

Hang in there! One week is not a long time for change to occur even though it can feel like it! Keep counting your calories and monitoring your carbs/sugars if your doctor recommends it. Change will come if you're consistent! And you can always come to the forums for support! I love using this place to vent when I'm having…

Oh my gosh this is a great idea, I need to name mine now! Realizing how ridiculous the tantrum is must be a great way to keep it in perspective!

At 135 - hitting 130 will be awesome! Planning a cruise for August!
-
Another month, another work meeting with yummy snacks! Avoiding the table entirely!
-
Going out for my birthday tonight. Saying no to popcorn during the movie today. I'll have 1000 calories to spend tonight - which isn't always much at a restaurant! - and that'll be the best I've done in awhile!

I hear you. While I don't drink quite that much I rarely have just one even when I plan to. My inhibitions go out the window with the first one. Plus I eat more when drinking. Not ready to let go yet though. Just have to be honest with yourself about your goals and what's important for you. Good for you for taking a hard…

Trying to sleep. It's not working. Not sure if it's the beer or the picante sauce but I feel like I'm in a desert.

Hang in there! We're so attached to this all or nothing mentality where every setback is the most monumental thing in our lives. Conversely we belittle the progress we make as not good enough. What it's so hard to wrap our heads around is that we only fail when we give up entirely. Lately I just have to keep telling…

5'2" goal weight 105. Currently 135. Always looking for friends!

I know its the same old question but its an important one: how are you tracking? Are you weighing/measuring? Are you being 100% honest in your logging? At 1200 calories you should be losing. If you're really sure you're eating as little as you say you are and not losing weight you may want to see a doctor.

Yesterday I binged. I pinpointed why (TOM and night shift - I'm always ravenous when I work nights especially if I stay up the day after to get back on schedule) and today I'm back on track! I'm meeting with a trainer at Planet Fitness to design a workout plan. The weight is coming off soooo slow, and I continually…

Patience with my sloooooow loss and understanding that this is a FOREVER thing. Sometimes I catch myself thinking "its only for a few months until I lose the weight" but after almost 10 years I'm FINALLY starting to realize that it is so easy to put it on/keep it on.
-
No. People will talk about "starvation mode" but it is a myth. Going under too often may cause you to have less energy and be ravenously hungry but you will still lose weight. Think about people with anorexia. They lose.

I'm spending at least $25 a week on Halo Top. You should probably judge lol.
-
5'2" Feel free to add me! CW: 137.4 GW: 105? Honestly right now I'm trying to get to 130!
-
I switch between day and night shift so I do midnight to midnight. If I worked night shift consistently, and kept that schedule on my days off, I would probably do from the time I woke up to the time I went to bed. I believe you can change the names/times of meals to fit your schedule however you'd like!
-
5'2" currently 137.4. Would like to get down to 105. Feel free to add me!
-
Thanks. I wasn't aware there was an Exercise Notes feature so I'll just use that.

Congrats! And thanks for posting! Its a good reminder to us newbies that progress really does take time and that's okay!
