I didn't make my November goal of 40 miles, so I'm going to set my December goal to 30 miles.

My Mom likes to make turkey pilaf. It has rice, canned tomatoes, chopped onions, celery, and green peppers in addition to the turkey. You put the veggies in a pot (except the tomato) with butter/margarine and heat until they turn clearish. Then you add water with chicken bouillon dissolved in it, tomatoes, and rice. Mix it…

I weigh in every few days, no real schedule, just when I feel like it. It is always in the morning before I've eaten and after I've used the restroom. Usually I'll be in my pajamas. I do see fluctuations with my cycle, but the overall trend is downward. I pay more attention to being under or at my net calorie goal than to…

Here are some tips on your second item, losing weight while eating at a deficit and exercising. 1. Log everything you eat. If you can, measure it somehow or eat preportioned amounts. 2. Take your time. I know we all like to get things fast, but weight loss takes time. Depending on how much you have to lose and how active…

It should give you your average heart rate for the exercise, though, which you can then plug into an equation or calculator like the one at this website to get an estimate of your calories burned: http://easycalculation.com/health/heart-rate-calorie-burn.php

Kickboxing burns a lot of calories. I like to do Turbo Jam videos in my living room at home. I weigh around 181, and according to MFP burn 593 calories doing a 43 minute workout. I'm not sure how accurate this estimate is, but kickboxing is definitely one of those big calorie burning workouts. The videos I watch…

Welcome to myfitnesspal. I hope you get what you are looking for from it. Dairy upsets my Dad's stomach, so he takes something called Lactaid whenever he eats something with a lot of cheese or ice cream. I don't know if that might help you or if you cannot have dairy for other reasons. I have no experience with not eating…

I'm logging with a FitBit and will include all exercises it can measure, especially walking. Hoping to get to 40 miles.

I did Turbo Jam for 20 minutes, something I haven't done in a while. Also did not eat too much Halloween candy and logged everything that I ate.

I'm 5'5.5" tall. I started off weighing 237 pounds in early May. My current weight is around 186. My goal weight, for now, is in the 150-160 range, a range that was recommended to me by a doctor at the weight loss clinic I used to go to. Once I get in that range, I will re-evaluate and decide if I want to keep losing…

Anyone can feel free to add me. I have been doing this for several months with great success, thanks in part to all the support and encouragement I received from others. Always happy to return the favor!

Officially, once a week on Wednesday afternoons as part of a medically monitored program. Unofficially, maybe 2-4 times a week, if I have my scale with me.

I have used hypnosis recordings on my phone and also been to a hypnotherapist before for another issue. It works really well for some people, for others, it is less effective. It works well for me. On my phone, or iPod, I like Erick Brown hypnosis; he has many programs that I've found to be very effective. I used to have…

I've been losing for the last 4-5 months. Over the last 90 days, I've lost an average of 2 pounds a week. It does vary -- some weeks it is a little over a pound, other weeks it is almost 4. I think some of the variation is water weight.

Feel free to add me. I've been logging every day and am on here a lot.
