  • 1/2 an Arnold's Select Thins round 100% whole wheat roll with deli turkey, red pepper slices, and romaine on top of it and a snack bag of baby carrots. 182 calories
  • How spicy are these? I like spice for flavor, but not to blow your head off. Just wondering if I should decrease the pepper.
  • I don't blame you for being mad!! Maybe we don't want to count calories forever, but if we do it for a while, we will automatically learn what we should/can eat daily to keep ourselves in check. It's a learning process and this is one step in the journey. Take that nutritionist!!
  • I'm going to make some "revised" Super Bowl foods and spend the game with my family. I'm going to make chicken nachos by putting baked tortilla chips in a 9x13, top them with baked, shredded chicken (maybe with some salsa or taco seasoning mixed in), then some reduced-fat cheddar and put in the oven until melted. Top with…
  • I've done things off and on for the last five years, but truly have just started getting serious within the last couple of weeks. This site has helped to motivate me. I'm lucky to be fairly thin and I love my kids to death, but that tummy is something that makes me very self-conscious.
  • Ok - I've cut out refined/process foods, I'm doing my cardio everyday, and strengthening my core. Can anyone out there give me hope that my post-baby tummy will (at the very least) get smaller? Any success stories? By the way, my youngest is 5 and it's taken this long for me to get motivated to try SOMETHING.
  • My kids just love when I make turkey stuffed peppers. I just take ground turkey and mix in some cooked brown rice. For my husband and I, I add some seasoning (hot red peppers, etc.) and put the mixture in hallowed-out green peppers. For the kids I just make meatballs. I buy a large can of generic tomato soup, dump it in a…
  • I'm having one of those days too!!! I've just been pounding the water to try to flush it all out, but I had to squeeeeeeeze into my pants this morning.
  • I put frozen chicken breasts in the crockpot with a packet of taco seasoning and chicken broth. I'll take 2 forks to shred them and put the chicken in ww tortillas with romaine, tomatoes, and reduced-fat cheese. Taco Tuesday!!
  • Is anyone out there from Wisconsin?? I'm looking for some motivation for these looooong, cold, snowy, winter months. This weather just seems to suck the life out of me.
  • Whole wheat sandwich thin with deli turkey, romaine lettuce, and sliced red pepper. Also a small bag of baby carrots.
  • A small bowl of Nature's Path Pumpkin FlaxPlus Granola with skim milk and 1/2 banana.
  • I also weigh once a week - Monday mornings in an effort to behave myself over the week-ends.
  • I make these every week for my kids (and me) and they devour them! 2 cups rolled oats 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup wheat germ 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 cup whole-wheat flour 3/4 cup raisins (optional) 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup honey 1 egg, beaten 1/2 cup canola oil Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees…
  • I use this one - it's fantastic!!: 1 lb. baking potatoes (about 2), cubed 1 can (14-1/2 oz.) fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth 1 cup skim milk 3 slices turkey bacon, cooked, crumbled and divided 1 cup Reduced-fat Shredded Cheddar Cheese, divided 1 green onion sliced, divided 1/4 cup fat-free Sour Cream MICROWAVE…
