I can tell you that the body is a weird and strange thing. My weekly weight loss takes a weird bell curve. I will weigh myself on monday and have lost 3-4 pounds, and then I will weight again on friday and I will be be 4-5 pounds heavier, but then when I weigh myself on that next monday I will be down another 4 pounds past…

I am always willing to take on new friends to help out. What we are doing is hard and some people will never understand it unless they have been through it. So please add me as a friend and we can help each other.

I have eaten greek yogurt at least 4 times a week over the last year and a half, look at my ticker.....there is your answer.

Look, you have stretched your skin out a bit being that size, but you are young and that is a big plus. Some will say that the skin will snap back, but that is not always the case (have to be honest), but do not let that stop you from reaching your goals. I started at 538lbs and no matter how slow I lose my weight I am…

Yeah, I would say you need some more fat in your diet, good fat that is lol. Besides that it looks very good. You could do some Omega 3 pills to add the extra fat in if you don't want to add a bunch of calories.

I am eating well below my calories goal, have been for two months. I usually leave around 1000 extra calories I could have eaten on the table. I am losing more weight which is nice, and so far I feel just fine. Everyone is different so just listen to your body. If you notice anything odd or symptoms of deficiencies then…

I think we all have a similar story. I myself lost over 130lbs and I did it with a ton of walking. Well around the time I was gonna be hitting a milestone my Plantar Facia tore. So walking was out of the question for a while. This happened around last thanksgiving, and I didn't get back to stepping until mid April. Long…

I know that and thanks, but it is how I felt at times.

I dislike yogurt as well, I call it disappointing pudding.

I lost my first 40lbs eating junk. Calories is the key. Having some fast food here and there will not screw with your diet so long as you don't eat over your calorie limit. I eventually phased out all fast food, and I would say you should get to that point someday, but losing pounds is more important at first for some.…

I have found the most effective way to stop a craving is to indulge in that craving. Sounds crazy but it works. I keep something sweet around all the time. Or something savory if you like that better. If I am cravings something sweet I let myself have it. The key is to not go overboard with it. I allow myself around…

I started at 538lbs, if I can find the willpower so can you.

People who suffer from depression have faulty brain chemistry. Things like seratonin and dopamine can be out of whack or low. Dopamine is the chemical that makes us feel happy. It has evolved with us in order to reward us for eating food to survive or having sex to reproduce. When depressed your dopamine levels can be very…

I eat on a rough schedule but I snack when I am hungry,

I used to have an issue clipping my toenails. I was an effort to get my leg up high enough to reach them. Even once I got them close enough to cut I was still horribly uncomfortable doing it. A week ago I sat on my bed and raised my foot up and cut my nails. The second I dropped my foot down I realized just how easy that…

I try and do just once a week, mainly because my weight can fluctuate quite a bit over that time so its counter productive to weigh myself every day. I go up and down all week because I am still big and hold onto a lot of water so waiting a week between weigh ins I always see a loss.

I have only felt better sleeping since losing all my weight. If its really bad pain I would get checked out by a doctor just to make sure. It may just be that you are getting older, not sure how old you are but once you get pass 30 years old you start getting some aches here and there.

I never lose weight at a steady pace, it always seems to come in big chunks. I will go all week at the same weight or even more then the previous week but then one day I will wake up and I will be down 3 or 4 pounds. It just happens that way sometimes. I have lost 2 pounds while sleeping before, even before going to the…

4.8 pounds is nothing sneeze at when it comes to losing weight. I still have 190lbs to lose and I usually lose around 10-12 pounds a month, but as a man it is easier for me, not fair I know. At your current rate you are doing just fine. There will be times when the weight loss stalls for a while and you will feel…

Unless you are eating an ungodly amount of bananas I doubt that is the issue. You need more fiber and maybe some more water. See a doctor just to make sure nothing else is wrong. There are all kinds of things that can cause constipation so seeing a doc can narrow it down a bit.

You don't have to do a cheat day but some people find that it helps keep the overall cravings at bay if you allow yourself to have a treat every now and then. I used to give myself a treat every week, but now I do it once a month at most. Even though its a cheat day I almost always stay within my calorie limit. So maybe…

Hi Kim, my name is Richard and I know exactly what you are going through. I battled with my weight all my life and found it very hard to stay on any kind of diet. If you would like to friend me I would be happy to correspond with you if you need help. I finally got control of my eating and I have lost over 130lbs so far. I…

I burn a lot more calories then you do per minute of exercise and it would take me 90 minutes on a treadmill to even get close to 1,000 calories burned from exercise. That number may very well be very wrong. You don't burn as many calories exercising as you might think. Also, if you just gained weight on one week then wait…

I lost over 100lbs with walking and diet and then I tore my Plantar Facia in my foot so I could not exercise they way I wanted to anymore. It took quite a while for it to heal and once it did I stepped on the scale and found that I had gained back around 30 of the pounds I lost. It was truly devastating for me, I was so…

Go get a RMR test done just to make sure you are burning the estimated calories that MFP has setup for you. Some people are just different.

It is very common to see a huge scale drop in the first few weeks and up to a month when on a new diet. Your body is getting used to the changes and more then likely some of the loss is excess water. My first month I was losing 8 pounds a week. Now I lose between 2-4 depending on certain factors. Just keep going and…

I lost around 130lbs in less then 10 months. I injured myself and my weight loss got derailed and I gained back around 30lbs. But I am healthy and back at it now and I am really close to being back where I was before I got injured.

Eating too much of anything can be bad for you. Granted eating too much fruit would be less harmful then eating too much of other things. Fruit is good, but it does have a lot of sugar and if you eat a lot you can actually gain weight eating too much fruit. Eating too much fruit can also give your stomach issues due to so…

Go get an RMR (resting metabolic rate) test done. Everyone is different and you may burn less calories then they are estimating. Its not too expensive to get tested and its more accurate then the number MFP spits out, which is based on averages. I had mine done and I was burning about 300 more calories a day then I thought.
