Thanks for the kind words man, I would love to try and change it but people my parents age are pretty set in there ways, and I have tried over the years. They have gotten better since the grandchildren have come along. They are very affectionate with them, which should make me mad some would think since they were not with…

No worries, I knew when I wrote it that at least one person would have issue with it and not really read it. Thanks for all the nice words.

Thanks much for the kind words. I appreciate it very much.

Unless it is counting a lot of extra steps it is not gonna effect you overall results. I used to worry about each and every step counted and their accuracy, but once I let go of that and just accepted what was counted I was much happier. How many extra steps is it counting, do you drive a lot?

Why do you need to disable your ONE while driving? Are you driving something extremely bumpy?

You don't have to hit complete to keep a streak going. Mine is over 200 days and maybe 40 of those days did I ever hit complete.

I am 37 also and I can already see that I will have some loose skin when I am done. I started at 559 and I have been at least over 400 for 20 years. It can be a crap shoot with some people but at our age it is very unlikely that you will escape without lose skin.

Detox, Colon Cleansing, Colonic......all of these things are complete and total BS. Don't waste your time.

I spent 4 days in Mississippi visiting a friend and I was amazed at the amount of bad food pushed upon you down there. Veggie is a 4 letter word down south it seems. After I left I realized why the south is the most obese geographic area in the world.

I have used Pact for over a year and its not really negative at all. You can choose how much money you are charged if you fail to meet a pact. 5-50 bucks is the range I think. In one year I only managed to be charged once, but made $145. They now have Calorie Diary Pacts, which sync directly with MFP, and they also have a…

Honey I gained back 40lbs of the weight I lost at one point and I spent way too long beating myself up over it. Get back on the horse and know that this time you know the pain of quitting so you will be less likely to do it agin. I got back on track and lost every single pound I gained back and as of yesterday I am now the…

I use hummus on my wraps all the time, also dip some wheat thins in it as well. Still do some olive oil mayo now and then but hummus has become a staple for me.

If you have a lot to lose saggy skin is something that can't be avoided, but losing slowly and in a healthy manner will keep it at bay as much as possible, and everyone is different so there is not real way to know how bad it will be unless you do it. But never let that hold you back from doing it.

It is a common thing that those who are taller tend to carry their weight a bit better. Some also carry it more evenly over their body, this is true for men and women. I started at 559 pounds and I saw another man who was at the same weight as me and we looked drastically different. He was also 7 inches shorter then me so…

If you truly can't resist the scale and you think it is harmful to your goals pick the thing up and give it to a neighbor or a friend. Then schedule to get it back once a week or once a month. Out of site and is out of mind. Good luck with your progress my friend.

Losing the weight is gonna be hard, but if you stick to your calorie deficit and slowly eliminate all the empty calories out of your diet you can ease yourself into a new way of eating for life. Just don't try and go cold turkey. Eat what you want at first but stay under your calorie goal. Add some exercise in each day,…

I did Atkins as well, and while it is effective its no way to live your life. It is too hard to stay on that kind of diet for life so do what all the others are saying and just do a simple calorie restriction diet. I lost all my weight so far that way. Its a little slower then Atkins, but a million times easier to stay on.

White bread on average is less calories dense and there are a few reasons for that. One is obviously what most have already stated, whole wheat contains the whole grain which means more fat and a tad more natural sugar. Also if you look at most whole wheat breads you will notice that a majority of them have a larger mass…

If don't live a little here and there what is the point, just so long as you don't make it daily habit or slide of path.

Look at my Ticker, most of that was lost just by walking. Walking increases heart rate and has a ton of other great effects on the body. So no, it is not whimpy at all. Any movement is good movement.

If you are staying true to your calorie intake and are getting exercise the pounds will eventually start to come off. Our bodies can hold onto a lot of water sometimes and that can skew any results. Plus if you are exercising the body uses water to repair itself and if you just started you have to give your body time to…

I started at 559 pounds and I can tell you I had a big ole man fupa. It is much better now but still is pretty bad, but if it keeps going down like it has already it should be gone in the next 100lbs or so.

Brick walls happen, change up your workout routine, eat some different foods and stay at it and you will break through that wall eventually. Keto works but its not a good way to keep weight off, so many people I know who do atkins or other similar diets seem to gain it all back.

Sounds like you got rid of a grade A douchbag from your life. I would look at it as a good thing and move on sweetheart.

There is no evidence to suggest that a standard MV will cause any harm to you over a period of time. There have been studies correlating it, but never have they proved it as a cause. That said, if you eat a healthy balanced diet you most likely don't need one. But as most of us here are on calorie deficits it may be hard…

Here is my progress so far, well I have lost another 12 pounds since the photo but you get the gist. Still have about 150 to 170 to go. 559 to 404.

I had some stretch marks when I was in my 20's but they just went away after a while, can not see any of them even up close so if they never go away completely they eventually blend in well enough to not be seen.
