Study on stomach stretching related to eyelids.

So on Thursday I am having my eyelids tightened. I have floppy eyelid syndrome and when I started my weight loss I had some seriously bad dry eye set in over time. It got to the point where I could not work because my eyes would get so bad. After a year of trying every kind of drop and medication nothing worked. So I have to have my lids tightened so I can get my eyes back.
During my consultation with the surgeon he mentioned that he is conducting a study (with several obesity specialists and doctors) about a correlation between those with floppy eyelids and the elasticity of their stomachs. Studying samples they have discovered that some people have stomachs that are inclined to be less tight then others, meaning they stretch out far easier and don't allow people to get full quite as easily as a normal person. So he told me that some of the weight issues I had could be due to the fact that my stomach does not contract like a normal persons. So it is something that could explain why it took so much more food then normal for me to feel satisfied sometimes. Even if I had a normal stomach I would still probably be big because I ate for all the wrong reasons, but he said that the elasticity in my stomach could account for up to 20% of my weight.
Now this does not give me an excuse for my weight, and I am not looking for one, but I think it is an interesting finding by them and maybe something that can help people in the future. The doctor is considered on of the top 3 ocular surgeons in the country so I will take his word for it and he promised to send me a copy of the whole study once the publish in a few years.
