Thanks Pookylou!!!

I welcome anyone that wants to join!!! But I don't know how much you could do at home... I recommend that you look over the plan and see the workouts. I am pretty sure that many use weight machines :grumble: I had hoped to be able to do it at home most days but I didn't think that I could.

I am going to do Jamie Eason's LiveFit program. It is 12 weeks and is free online at bodybuilding.com, I even started a "challenge" for anyone that wants to start in the new year: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/420606-start-the-new-year-off-right-jamie-eason-s-12-week-progar After that I am going to do The New…

12/16 - 167.4 .... I won't complain since it is a normal time to be up a pound for most women :sink:
-
That is great!! I wish I saw 25 inches with only 5 lbs gone! What is your secret?

This is a free program that is outlined on Bodybuilding.com.... I actually started a thread to do the 12 week program starting with the new year. Anyone is welcome to join and we will become a group closer to the start date. Check it out…

Look at what motivation we have: I saw on facebook that there will be a contest in January so maybe you want to compete for the prize. Jamie said: "So, a little birdie told me that come January, Bodybuilding.com will be launching a transformation contest using the LiveFit Trainer to win a rather massive prize, somewhere in…

Welcome!!! I know that it will take work, but we can get it done! I plan on having it set up where you can chose the days you do the program, for example phase one is four days lifting and three days resting. You get to decide which four days you lift and which three days you rest. The only catch is that you…

Your cheeks are not as "plump" and your neck is thinner  WTG!

I did the race in Logan, OH and plan on doing it again in June 2012. Just donig it was my goal and this coming year I want to try to get it done at a better time!

^^^^^^^^^^THIS!!! I started running two years ago. I couldn't even get through half a mile at a 3.5 (running it) but slowly and surely I built up my endurance (I was training for half marathons). Around April this year I was up to 4 miles at a 4.5 (which is a 13ish min mile). Then over the summer I did C25K since I didn't…

I allow myself fast food or candy from time to time and stay within my calories. I know that if I deprive myself of something it will never be a life change. So I say indulge with a plan... plug it into your calories early in the day and work around that. Also knowing the healthy side of the indulgence is good too. I have…

12/9 - 166.4 ... Holy crap!! That blows my mind.... I was looking for only half a pound difference and I'll take 1.8!!

I put mine back on after six months. I really like knowing how much I am burning in a 24 hour period. That is the best thing right now... I am at a point where I need to see and make decisioins based on the "whole" picture. I use the body bugg to track calories out and I log all my good on MFP. I don't log my exercise but…

yes calories are calories but calories effect you differently. the "good" calories will be lower for the volume and will most likely fill you up longer. Think about it, an apple has 70 calories (just picking an approximate number) and the bag of baked potatoe chips has 160 calories.... that is 90 more calories that you…

I am in Columbus Oh and mom to one boy....is that good enough?

12/2 - 168.2 .... happy dance!!!!

I use the Bodybugg... when I went through the step up for it, it recommended I be at a 60/20/20. I said that I exercise 3 - 5 times a week for and hour. I am 5'3" and 170 wanting to lose weight and build endurnace with running. I hope that helps some
-
Thanks for the reply... I thought that half a pound a day was too extreme!? Did the math with the exercise make sense?
-
So my numbers would be: BMR = 1580 1580 * 1.3 = 2054 (1580 + 1000) - 2054 = 526 So I would set my calorie goal to 2054 and then eat about 1554 a day to lose half a pound. But that is a half a pound a day right? With the exercise I would do something like this.... If I burn more than 526 on a given day I would eat the…

According to your measurements - weight of 170 pounds and height of 5' 3", your lean body mass is estimated to be 106.07 . Since the ideal body fat percentage for women is 22%, your ideal lean body weight is 90.03 pounds. My lean mass is 106.07. I want to be 25% for my fat. that means 1 -.25 = .75. Then I take the 106.07…

That is interesting... I have a bodybugg and it says that you are "fairly" active if you have a sedentary job but work out < 1 hr 3 - 5 times a week. Or you can be "lightly" active if you have a sedentary job and work out half hour 3 times a week
