I do two half marathons in a year... one in May and one in October. I try to do a 5K/4 or 5 miler each month if I can afford it. It also helps keep up the training ;)

How much is a serving? This sounds really good!

You did not cross the start line as the very first person. The start the race and the clock at the same time but depending on where you are in the crowd (and how big the crowd is) you take several minutes to actually cross the start line. Once you cross the start line the chip is activated. I did a Thanksgiving day race…

That is a body to be proud of!!

Awesome progress!!!

I agree completely!!! I like tracking my measurements for this VERY reason! That is more of the story than the number on the scale. I will admit that I like the number on the scale, but if it goes up I don't stress (unless it is more than 5 pounds between my weekly weighins). I wish more people were able to…

11/25 - 170.0 ... well I gained a half a pound instead of losing half a pound. I have been playing around with my calories and exercise so that is to be expected. I am done messing with them and we will see how long it takes to lose that 15!!

That is awesome!!!

Your face is an oval shape and now you can see that better  Great work! It is so hard to see your own progress. I struggle with that too.... keep at it and eventually you (and I and the rest of us with eyes that decieve us) will see the changes readily!

How many bananas do I need to eat for the effects of Prozac? Not trying to be funny, Honestly wonder....

This is a great thread. I have been incorporationg more "healthy/clean" foods as I can. I just need to taper off on the eating out. It is an expensive habit hat doesn't help weightloss. Learnign to cook is great even if it is a few simple meals and invest in a crockpot. wishing us both good luck!

All this is true... it is also why it is sometimes easier for heavier people to have larger drops in their weight quicker. (or at least I am pretty sure... correct me if wrong) But because they have that "extra" weight they work harder to move it around and it takes more energy to move.

I like the bodybugg... it gives you a 24 hour view of your calories burned. I log my food on here and use the bugg to make sure I burn the amount of calories I need to for the day. I eat 1580 and need to burn 2080 in the 24 hour period.

Depends on the sleeves of your shirt. Mine is always covered in a typical tshirt. I see some of the bugg as the sleeves go to "babydoll" or "cap".

I love this... I have a bugg too and will remember that

11/18 - 169.6 ... lost .2 so I am okay with that, probably not going to make 15 anytime soon. I will keep at it till I do though!!!

Totally Rad!!! (lol)

Most recommend 1 -2 pounds a week. So at 2 pounds a week that is 8 pounds a month. Total to 5 months equaling 40 pounds. I would think that is a realistic goal  edit: took me 10 months to lose 35 pounds, I maintained a couple times but didn't gain until 8 months in on vacation. My motto is "slow and steady finishes…

I am 5' 3.5" and I have a large frame. I was at 26.5% fate with 127 lb lean weight at my last bmi check. My goal is 155 at my lowest and I am currently 169 lbs

I actually went to three different websites figure out my BMR. My Fitness Pal calculates it at 1462 for me. For reference I am 5'3" at 169 pounds, 29, and MFP is seditary activity level. I went to these sites BMI-calculator.com (to the BMR one), Health.discover.com (the BMR calculator), and fitwatch.com (the BMR…

Thanks everyone... I know that 45 pounds is great but I also know that many people have/will reach bigger goals. As for posting pics on the thread, you probably need to use a photo site (I used Photobucket) then copy the HTML code. You paste that in the thread. Then at the beginning of the link you type a bracket, the word…

11/11 - 169.8 ... Not horrible to gain that little but not the direction I wanted to go this week :frown:

You should be really proud, I know I am of my sucess. People that know me know that I am not using a drug or "miricle diet". But everyone does assume that it is not from eating right and exercise.... SUPRISE... IT WORKS!!!!!!!!! Edit: I am saddened that my extended family doesn't hold that belief. My aunt who is almost 60…
