Oh wow, I didn't know that. I thought Protein was to be the highest...... I didn't know it was totally and absolutely okay to go really high in fat, even good fat. I've been trying to go the other way aaround.. and I have 50 pounds that I desperately need to lose.

I can relate to that feeling.. even though, my stomach is not flat at the moment - quite the apple shape. Eating oats or grains for breakfast for instance, would immediately make me feel overly ful/heavy and by the end of the day, my stomach is huge. This is why I'm trying the Paleo/Primal again.

Hmmm... I guess for the sugars, I am referring to are from fruit and occasional dried fruit. I eat mostly fresh berries like strawberries and blueberries.. Maybe 1/4 of each or 1/2 cup of either. Interesting. I am finding it hard to make up for the lost calories then and it's probably because I am very restricted on my diet. I am currently trying the Paleo/Primal way of eating which means limited starchy fruits [berries preferably], nuts, seeds, fats [good ones], meats, some dairy. No grains whatsoever so that…

If this is true, then I should have been well on my way to weight loss =( My net calories are always below 1200 but.....not a single pound lost and not a single inch lost. I wonder what is wrong..........

I've been enjoying making my own lately. Makes my salad taste light and refreshing. Juice of one lemon or lime + EVOO + Agave nectar.. I usually do a tsp of each [evoo and agave nectar]. I sometimes add black pepper. I like the tangy and slightly sweet taste of it.

I just picked up Jillian Michaels Natural Whey today. It's low in calories, sugar and carb....Got the vanilla cream shake flavor and supposedly, no artificial flavors..... I'm trying to lose weight since I am a whopping 45+ pounds overweight. I also want to build muscle...just can't figure out if it's best in the morning…

The gym owner, who also is the personal trainer [not mine, can't afford it at this time] mentioned that protein shakes would come in handy and recommended having one with breakfast in the morning if you plan on working out before noon....but if you work out late, don't bother. I, too, have been spinning most days of the week since the last week of September. Have not been able to lose weight, but sure as hell gained several pounds. And if it's 'muscle', sadly, nothing in my closet fits....... I'm fed up as well........

Also, I do drink plenty of water. I just don't focus on logging it. Just the food.

I'm 5 1 and a whopping 176. My goal is between 125-130 max. Major struggles to lose.....No matter how hard I work out and eat right, my body refuses to lose. Still trying to figure out my problem.

::raises hand:: Me. I feel hopeless and stuck. Zero weight loss, however, I have been working out for 5+ months.....I know muscle weighs more than fat and takes up less space....yet, nothing still fits.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I've decided today to just have patience and to change my goals to 1 pound a week. I've also started back on Primal again today and feel pretty good thus far. My calories are over 1300 and planning on hitting the gym this evening. I plan on burning at least 500 calories so I know that…

Last night I made the change back to 1 pound a week so now my calories are up to 1300...we'll see how that goes.
