Kim, I TOTALLY hear ya and that is exactly what happened to me last week. I was on SUCH a sugar binge that it had me craving sugar nonstop. This also applies to grains.... it's like "once you pop, you just can't stop". And it is always hard to get right back on track..... I know when I was eating regular carbs [grains..yes…

I definitely can! Especially, in the face along with the rest like arms. That is amazing. My goal is to lose 50 pounds...this gives me hope that I can do it too even though I have been struggling since September to drop anything.

You can find coconut oil at health food stores.
-
Um coconut oil is EXTREMELY good for you. VERY GOOD fats.. You can use it in cooking as you would with any other oil. I prefer organic virgin coconut oil which is for medium heat. It is unrefined and it had a nice coconut taste if you like coconut. The refined regular coconut oil is for high heat and is neutral in flavor.

Hi Kim! I'd say since the healthy range is between 1-2 pounds a week...I would hope to be 8-16 pounds lighter for my 8 week goal mark. I've been really stalling and it's probably because I've been focusing on muscle building and haven't been strictly paleo. I dunno. I don't even think my inches are changing either. VERY…

Name: Nancy Age: 28 Kids: just one 3 yr old! Pets: none Married/SO: Married Eating Lifestyle: Paleo/Prima but not as strictl! Some cheats here and there - more like nibbles. I do consume dairy such as full fat plain fage greek yogurt, string cheese, feta cheese but not all daily and at the same time. I also use butter,…

Let me go stuff myself with "whole grains" because they're good for you according to the USDA.. Yea, and then deal with the bloating, gas and constipation. Been there. Done that. Most likely, never again.

I don't understand the need for people to bash what everyone else does as far as 'dieting' goes to reach their goals. Everyone does what works for them so why not JUST accept that? And yea. I eat Paleo.
-
If you're going to go low carb you need to make sure that you are getting enough good fat and protein.
-
Oh ok!
-
Awesome. Thank you! We Paleo People do need the support. I will be sure to check this regular as opposed to the last one where I fell way behind.
-
Would totally try this with quinoa as I am staying away from grains. Sounds good!
-
I hope to lose mine actually. But I think that when I reach my goal weight of dropping 50 pounds, I won't care if they remain the same. It's the gut + boobs that I can't stand.

For ME, I found that eating grains causes bloating. I've cut out all grains, soy, legumes and have been eating Primal. I'm still testing this.
-
I have been in your boat. I've been working out since the end of September and was not losing weight at all. It was when I started cutting out all grains [eating Paleo/Primal], for the past 3 weeks that I started seeing the numbers go down. 3 pounds in 3 weeks. It really stinks when you feel like you're putting so much…

Hmm interesting! I remember when I had blood work done last Spring, my Vitamin D levels were very low.. 13. So I had to take Vit D for a few months but stopped......I wonder if I should take it again.

The Berry family :)

Yup! I'm definitely guilty of weighing daily and sometimes more than once a day =(. My numbers also fluctuate. Trying not to let it get to me.
-
I keep missing out. I need to check this post daily then since we never get notifications! My name is Nancy :)

Because I follow the Primal/Paleo diet, I tend to go well over my 'allotted' protein as well as fat as I eat things like lean meats, raw nuts/seeds/full fat dairy such as my favorite, FAGE greek yogurt. My carbs are usually way under because I don't do grains.

Grilled Stuft Burrito - either chicken or beef meal at Taco Bell w/ that massive size beverage which would be, at the time, my favorite - Pepsi Cherry. That was a weekly meal. Also, during college we had a pasta bar where your dish would be made in front of you. Thinking I was an 'athlete' [but still over weight], I would…

hmm is there any way to get a notification of when someone posts something new? I am losing track!

I've been Primal/Paleo for 2 weeks and going into week 3 now. After 6 months of working out and eating whole grains, my weight woud not budge. Finally, I lost 1.5 pounds in those 2 weeks. Also, I'm finding my stomach feeling light and almost no bloating through out the day. While I have not been diagnosed with a…

Yes! It's definitely, something to enjoy on cheat days for breakfast. ;)

So I have question for us Paleo folks....what are you thoughts on Quinoa flakes for hot cereal? I just picked up a box the other day. Sometimes I crave something warm and creamy on cold days and figured would be a great occasional alternative to oatmeal. A serving is 23 grams of carbs though, so it may pose a problem for…

I currently work out 4-5 times a week. My cardio is 10 minute warm up [i break a bit of a sweat here actually] and it is usually jogging at 4.5mph or elliptical machine between level 8-10 + 30 minutes of Spinning w/ intervals. I also strength train 4 days a week [2 days upper body + 2 days lower body]. My strength training…
