Those typo's can be a killer can't they! I recently made one in a post code (Uk zip code) when emailing an external trainer the address of the training venue - sent him 25miles off in the wrong direction by missing the 5 and putting a 6 in the middle of the post code! Thankfully he was cool about it and we had a laugh…

I don't run I walk, but here's a sentiment I'm working towards.

Phrick hit the nail on the head with Shoes. If you are upping the speed then you are upping the impact, so you need a little more cushioning. I wear shoes rather than trainers by preference, but now I am walking at 4mph I need the padding. Also with upping the speed you will may find the muscle around the shin starts to…

No where as his name is The Doctor and not Doctor who.....

1. Why does the doctor call his time machine TARDIS? He doesn't - Susan does because its a Time And Relative Demensions In Space machine 2. What is the name of the doctor's home planet? Galafry 3. What is the name of the home planet to the Daleks? Scaro 4. How did "Demon's Run" get its name? According to the big blue bloke…

Welcome. After putting on half a stone after a break up I hit my all time high of 136kg (299.2). So in May I started to sort that out. Long way to go, and happy to make friends and support people on the journey. Please feel free to add me

Now it begins. Good luck everyone.

If your body doesn't respond to 'traditional' methods, have you looked at Intermittent Fasting? I like the 5:2 approach (as per the BBC Horizon programme) - 5 days normal eating, 2 days at 500/600 cals. Other like 16:8 (only eating in an 8 hour window). On the normal days I still try and keep in a 2000 cal budget, but…

If there's still room I'd like to be a member too please. There are soooo many inactive groups it's hard to find the ones people are actually using.

Is it time for a vote? Hope everyone is having a good week. I'm a little in the wars - my stepper broke at the end of last week and I turned my ankle over while walking on Monday - minor sprain, should be ok by next week! That's two - no sure if I should wait for the 3rd or not ;) Graham.

I use Endomondo, uses the GPS and can post through your work outs to MFP. If you give it your details (weight, height, etc) it gives a more accurate calorie assessment that MFP's guesses and the Premium version can be used with ANT+ and Bluetooth HRMs for a really accurate calorie burn assessment.

I have to admit to being poor at picking names. One of the people I work with suggested the 'shrinking violets', a little cheesy I thought but I bring it to the table.

I have been told it takes about 2.5 months for you to notice. 3.5 months for your friends to notice, and 5 months for others to notice. Unfortunately it goes on a lot easier than it comes off, and when it comes off it comes off in the odd places first.
