Couple of comments. Abs are almost 100% diet. Sure, you can work them (Not every day) but ultimately it's a function of your BF %. Secondly, you are more likely to see this when you lifting heavy, or whenyou are doing sprints. A compbination of heavy lifting (that's for you to determine) and diet should put you on the…

Feel free to add me. Have 5 kids (mostly grown) but I love the interaction and discussion with my MFP friends.

Feel free to add me. Am in a semi-maintenance mode but very active and supportive.

I've done several, and still love p90X. But I wonder if you would consider lifting? definitely is a huge win for men or women, as long as it;s done right, and there are several good entry level programs out there. Two that jump to mind are Stronglifts 5x5 and NROL for Women.

I hear you. I have a son in the Army as well. And a son-in-law in the navy. Depends a lot on your preferences. message me with your likes/dislikes if you want a detailed perspective. And feel free to add me as a friend if you like.

You've received some excellent advice. Stonglifts 5x5 or NROL are both great programs. And they start at the level you're at. As to extra cardio, do it if you like to work out. I love playing tennis and started running last year, so I have these during the week or on the weekends, but remember to listen to your body, and…

It's OK. I'm 57. It's on my wall. Along with everything else! :)

Wow. Great job so far. You've already doe the hardest part...getting started. I think your exercising sounds very healthy. There are lots of approaches to that, and nothing is "perfect" so find things that you enjoy and can stick with. Or switch if that works for you. Keeping it fresh is a good way to staying energized…

Looking for new friends as well. Some of mine log regularly and some don't. Feel free to add me or read my profile first.

Feel free to add me. Have been here for a short while (almost a year). It's about learning boundaries, but with yourself and with those close to you. Can't let people who don't have your best interests get you off track.

Feel free to add me. Am a dad as well, with 5 kids from 26 to 19.

Welcome back. Feel free to add me.

Congratulations. Welcome in. FR sent

Agree. But look at other things too. Sodium. measuring food accurately. Low water intake (I know it sounds like an oxymoron). Hormones are absolutley an issue, particularly with women. So don;t be discouraged. Look for the evidence and keep doing what is working (Walking is a GREAT thing)

Congratulations Brian. You had plenty of times where you could have quit and you didn't! Keep up the great work.

All I can say is that this is an amazing thread. All of you are doing such a tremendous job. Congratulations for the incredible life changes you are all making!

That is amazing progress. Congratulations on your steady progress. And great job over the holidays when many people often move backwards! When's the half marathon?
-
Awesome job. That's a real NSV!

Feel free to add me. Goal is to get to 7.8% BF by June 1. Am at 11.8 now, and that amounts to a loss of 7.6 pounds of fat.

Rack Em is right. Let's act like there's someone else who wants to use these weights!

I think he's saying it's a Sprint Triathlon, meaning 400m swim, 18K bike and 5K run/jog. More than likely.

I am very interested. Don't know how you have the time but I'm in!

I agree with Eric. But I would add a couple of other things. Here are some questions you should ask yourself. Do I measure everything, with a food scale? Am i drinking enough water (diary shows nothing)? Am I going over every weekend? Am I drinking calories that I am not recording? Am I recording everything? Am I using a…

Congratulations, Matt. You really are an inspiration. Blessings on your 100 mile ride.

Here it is in simple terms. Your net calories are the calories after you subtract your exercise. So if you have a goal of 1200 calories per day (and you eat them all) and your exercise is 300 calories, then your net calories is 900 (1200-300). As to your "stall", 4 months certainly qualifies. @Koldnomore asked some great…
