OK Yoda. That took a lot of words just to be wrong. Whole natural foods are healthier than processed foods.
-
What? How about Egg McMuffin no muffin.
-
OK, I see how this works... I could drink a beer a night, and it could work with my diet. Or I could wait 2 weeks and drink 14 in one night. Yes, this makes perfect sense now.

I would love to help you leave. Good riddance!

is it me you're looking for?

"How can carbs be bad when ppl have eaten them for thousands" This is the worst argument for anything ever.
-
... says the person with Homer Simpson as their avatar.

That is heresy round these parts! You obviously have no idea what you are talking about even though you lost so much weight. (I am preparing you for what you will eventually encounter on here)

I am fairly certain that at no point I have stated anything about my beliefs or practices. I was just trying to ascertain where this notion of a cheat day is derived from. My suspicion is that it is a term constructed for justification. I will say something about myself, in response to your comment. I do not eat corn or…
-
You sure haven't added anything of value.
-
If you have a budget and going to the movies is in it, then that is not cheating. Several of you are using the term cheat to describe something you plan for, which is the opposite of what I am talking about.
-
Chores? LOL. Are you 13?
-
I do 20% Carb, 40% fat, and 40% protein.
-
So, those of you who embrace cheating, what other parts of your life to you have regular cheat days?? If it is good for your body, should be good everywhere else too right?
-
To merely focus on the weight gain or loss aspect of one's diet is either ignorant or willingly dismissive. How do you measure your heart health? Liver? Kidney? Your risk of getting cancer? Just because you maintain a desired weight does not make you healthy. 1 day a week.. 80/20 ... Are you saying 20% of your diet doesn't…

A misnomer is a term which suggests an interpretation that is known to be untrue. The title of the thread clearly states my intent to discuss the meaning of the word cheat day. And, since semantics is the study of meaning...

from Raleigh, used to live in Wilmington, Apex now...

I think many of you didn't even read my original post. Or perhaps you don't know what the word "misnomer" means.
-
Why do you care that I care? :P Contradicting yourself...

Diet is the sum of food consumed by a person or other organism. Everyone has a diet. Whatever you eat is your diet.
-
The average person doesn't need 50% of their calories from carbs unless they are running marathons.
-
Again, if it's planned, it's not a cheat is it? So, that situation is not what I am talking about.
-
Well, if you ate it intentionally with no regret, don't call it anything! Just log it and move on instead of proclaiming to the world like most people do.

My wife is always bugging me about going to sports events with me (like, going to watch a game somewhere) when I would rather just go with my guy friends. I feel the same about working out (as your husband). Some activities are for escape/relax and bonding with your kind. By the way, took my wife to an NHL game last night,…

20 carb / 40 fat / 40 protein for me

For real. It's not like it's heroine. It's not good for you, say NO.
-
I really despise people who say "Anything is OK in moderation". Rat poison. Heroine. Arsenic. Allergens. Just because that false saying justifies your diet doesn't make it right. Not EVERYTHING is OK in moderation.
-
I think you are right when you say "My boyfriend is SO unhealthy". Don't forget that weight is not a predictor of health. Plenty of skinny people die at age 50 from heart disease, cancer, liver failure.
-
A calorie isn't a calorie. If I upped my calorie intake by eating cotton candy versus... something healthy, I would gain weight. Just saying, you can't make a simplistic statement like I increased calories and gained weight, so I should not increase calories. Looking at your journal, your daily fat intake looks VERY low!…

The wheat we have offered to us today is Frankenstein / mutant wheat. Can't make the comparison over time like you are trying to do.
